Helen Mirren is always great (on stage, film, or TV). What also makes this film enjoyable is the film's focus on beautiful food and beautiful scener and the interaction between Helen Mirren and the Indian actors Manish Dayal (the young chef) and his father (Om Puri)..

Wonderful movie -- intense with each one striving at their life goal -- but love changes it all -- as to what is really most important. A very passionate movie. And yet, love is what made it all work out in the end. Loved it!

Absolutely loved this Blu- ray copy of this great movie. The cinematography was beautifully shot and accompanying sound just excellent. What a gastronomic treat...Indian food theme intertwined with the French. I highly recommend this Blu-ray for your collection.

First off I have watched this movie at least 4 times. Such a beautiful love story of both growing friendship sourcing from a tasteful rivalry. The humor is everything. Overall this is a beautiful movie with phenomenal actors and actresses.

What a fun movie to watch on a date, with family or alone. It is a well written and acted. What a superb enjoyable and amazing journey. The idea is simple but it shines so much more than you thought it would. great surprise

Watched this movie with my father and we both loved it (not only for a female audience). Helen Mirren offered a fantastic performance, and the storyline included a good and balanced mix of romance, comedy, and drama.

Enjoyed the performace of all the actors and their interactions with each other,how the main character steps over his obstacles, and the flow of the story around the feelings of creating food and its influence on each of the different characters. It had a touch of fantasy and romance without being too syrupy, loved the lighting treatment of the scenes and the end of the movie.

If you like movies like the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, you will love this movie. It is a perfect blend of cultural interaction and highlights how people from different backgrounds can successfully co-exist and flourish....

I really enjoyed the differences and the unique characteristics of nationallities and foods with the competitive spirit of the two opposite families. It goes to show how love and a love of foods can bring people together.

We loved this movie! We hadn't heard much about it but we rented it one night and it turned out it was great! We loved it so much we bought it! Feel good with twist and turns and learning experiences along the way.

French & Indian cooking.....you would never think they could be linked together! But this delightful film proves otherwise. And in the process we discover how wonderful it is to be a part of diverse cultures.

This movie is wonderful. The soundtrack is lovely. A brilliant mix of two cultures, the colours are so vibrant, the food makes me wanna cook all day long. Helen Mirren is wonderful as usual. Wonderful film.

With so many movies that are all about action and horror, it’s hard to find movies for my 80 year old mom. This was perfect and so relatable, even I really enjoyed it!

We rented this on Redbox based on my parents' recommendation. Both my wife and I cried. We bought the movie the next morning. If you like this, I also highly recommend CHEF....but this is better.

This movie was recommended to us by some friends, and we had to buy it after seeing it. Truly a great way to understand how cultural differences can be overcome to create something great.

Say previews for the movie when it was at the theaters and din't get in to see it. Went looking for it and some very helpful Best Buy associates went in to the back to look for a copy.

This is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. It has been shamefully overlooked in Hollywood. This movie had a believable plot, sensitivity, and was able to portray emotion workout foul language, or over the top violence. The acting was understated, charming, and sensitive. The photography was beautiful. Respect for culture was evident.
