I haven't read the book yet, so I can't really say if it stayed true to the original, but others who have read it say it does. Anyways I had a lot of fun watching The Hunger Games, great CGI, great score, and every actor involved gave really good performances in my opinion. I recommend you give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I can't judge. I haven't read the books but two of my kids have. Seemed a little hard to swallow kids killing kids for someone's sport, but that is sci fi right? Cinematography, etc. really good. Had to give it 5 stars because movies are a taste thing, and I got this on sale and my kids really like it, so good value overall!

I got this collectors edition from Best Buy and contrary to most of the other reviews of it ive read, mine works perfectly fine. it kind 6f skipped during a trailer but i hate trailers anyway so i dont care. im hoping the all the empty space in the box is for the next 3 movies though but either way im satisified.

The movie was good although having not read the book, there seems to be a few plot holes in terms of reasoning for the behavior of individuals that was supposed to be based upon past events of their timeline. Didn't know that there were more books that come afterwards so the leaving of some storylines unfinished was bothersome. It was a good movie nonetheless and I'm looking forward to sequels if there are some.

I loved this movie! The movie is very long but keeps your interest!! Begining starts out slow and is a little hard to follow along without reading the books.

I was a big fan of the Hunger Games books before the movie came out. Although the book was better than the movie in my opinion (as most books are), the movie did not disappoint. Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress and portrayed Katniss well. I also enjoyed how the movie added scenes of the other districts watching the Hunger Games and showed the conflict that was happening in them.

Great movie, plot is excellent, I've already read all the books nd can't wait till the other two movies come out. I loved this package deal because it enabled us to watch it while visiting family who didn't have a blueray and for us to have a bluray copy for when we got home.

i decied to get this box set over all the others because it looks like youll be able to fit the other 2 movies in it when they come out! i hope they make them small enough to go in here to! i love this movie and all the books the extras that came ion this dvd were great to!

Really enjoy this movie. I loved the acting. Jennifer Lawrence is great to watch on screen. I really liked Woody Harrelson and his subtle nuances. The humor is great. It balances the sadness. Visually beautiful.

My wife loves the book series. I haven't read them, and probably won't. This movie gives me a glimpse into what she's talking to her friends about, concerning the movie. I hear the next book/movie is supposed to be the one most people prefer out of them all. Why don't these people revolt and try to overthrow the government that sponsors these games...?

I compared the versions from Target,Walmart, and BB & decided to get this one based on the box. All three have the same thing (the "exclusive" documentary) and the movie of course. The box and the plastic paper weight or whatever it is did come scratched. Blu-ray, regular, uv version & a collectors box compared to the other versions is worth it.

It is a great movie and an excellent Collector's Edition box, I didn't have any problems with the Blu Ray not working like others mentioned. All discs worked wonderful and the extra's were awesome.

If you loved the first book then you will love this movie. I bought this special edition one so I'd get the DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Copy, ect. Great book and movie. Did not care for the 3rd Book in the series and the 2nd seemed to drag on so I do not know if I will purchase/see those but this one is pretty good. Lots of action for everyone!

We took our kids to see this movie and all 3 of them loved it with our daughter seeing it 4 times in the theater. We read all the books and fell in love. The movie has lots of action and the concept is different than most movies we have seen before.

Great movie. I like the books and they Stay pretty much up to the book. I know its defrent writing a book From Movies. I like blue Ray , its HD Large screen & the BOOM sound. But i think they should of put the music video on it That would be arsome.

I bought the Blu-ray on Thanksgiving Day online for an incredible price. I couldn't believe I got that price. It was all sold out for the Black Friday price in about two hours. Awesome movie. I can't wait for the next two in the series.

Like catching fire this is a great movie. I read the books and loved them. This follows the book very well. Visually it matches the books very well. The characters are just missing a little something. Worth the time to watch.

This is the best investment I could have bought. It comes with a option of DVD or Blu-ray. It comes with a collectable iteam witch i liked. I pre ordered this DVD. It was a better deal then just buying the dvd or the blu-ray separate.

Lots of extras! Comes with a digital copy in HD that i can stream from my TV or tablet. Nice hard box case that closes with magnet snaps and a clear prop for holding books up. Awesome movie. Cant wait for the second one!

I didn't have very high expectations for this movie, but it was much better than I expected. The story line was good and the characters did a pretty good job of being realistic. I look forward to the others movies based on this trilogy.
