Wanted to buy the new Hunger Games movie so I just popped over to Best Buy which is my favorite electronics store. Saw they had Archer season 4 on sale which I was missing from my collection and got that too! Loved both of them! Ended up watching the whole season of Archer the first night. Hilarious!!! Talked to a couple awesome cashiers about Archer since they had never watched it before hoping to make them into fans also!

This movie was adapted from the second book in the Hunger Games series. Overall it accurately depicted the storyline. I felt that the use of special effects and sound were excellent. The acting was good and the choice of certain actors matched their roles. Though I hated the ending....it was very well done...I didn't want the movies to end. They did a terrific job of leaving you on the edge of your seat and wanting more!

I have not read the books, so I am only reviewing the movie as a separate entity. I found Catching Fire to be just as entertaining as the original Hunger Games. Often the second movie in a trilogy feels like a filler between the first and third and this movie was an excellent sequel. I thought it was very well done, great acting, suspenseful and heartfelt. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed the first one.

The movie Catching Fire was very enjoyable, my girlfriend was very into the books so naturally the movie was purchased to add to our Blu-Ray collection. I have not read the books but did see the first movie, the quality of graphics and sound were amazing leading to a very enjoyable movie experience, this is a movie definitely worth watching in High Definition. The extras were very cool and enjoyable as well. The only complaint was the movie ending, I get that it is a trilogy but maybe could have flowed a little better into the third one. Other than that would definitely watch again and will be a great addition to anyone movie collection.

This movie was very entertaining with some very surprising plot points that unfold during the movie. It is a pretty good sequel to The Hunger Games that in my opinion everyone in the family would enjoy. The acting is more of a group effort in this one, not one actor really stands out but the acting is really good in the movie. I give it a 5 stars for the excitement and entertainment this movie brings to everyone.

The Blu-Ray version of this movie is fantastic. The plot is great; the cinematography is gorgeous; the sound is excellent. No compromises here. And, you can view it whenever you want, as many times as you want at your convenience since you own it. The quality is better than streaming a movie ANY day. I know discs are on their way out, but it's a loss to the viewing public. I'd buy this disc ASAP to have forever!

Katniss is back for another grueling Hunger Games. The Capital not being content with the resilts of the previous games, force Katniss and Peeta to go back into the fray. The movie adaptation is even better than the book because we're able to see the world of Panem through different perspectives besides just our Heroine's. This creates a much more engaging world that we, as the viewer, want to know more about.

I enjoyed the Hunger Games ( Five stars ) but, for me, Catching Fire surpassed the first film only because the story continued to take fascinating turns. Yes, we went back into the arena, but with even more plot turns and with a strong leading female, the combination was just fabulous viewing. Loved this directors take on the story, too. This film never lags, just never stops with intense action and story.

Read the book first, loved the series and love seeing them come to life. Fully understanding that some changes were made from book to movie screen, I kept an open mind when watching this movie in order to just enjoy it. This movie was emotionally riveting, funny at times, and tear worthy at others. Overall, I greatly enjoyed watching this on DVD with kids, Bluray with my husband, and on the go with Vudu.

In my opinion all movies should have a steelbook case. At least as an alternative option. I really like that it comes with the digital version through ultraviolet. It is a must for me to get the digital copy. The story is great and the whole family can watch. Even though I read the books I still feel a sense of excitement. Even if you don' like teen books made into movies you should give this one a try.

The packaging here is great. Good set for an affordable price if you want this movie now. If you wanna wait for the box set, get ready to wait a couple years. The movie itself is phenomenal, just really intense and sad. It's the middle book in the series so keep in mind that it is just setting things up so no plot lines are started or resolved, nothing really accomplished. Great cinematic fun though.

The story arc over the books (and thus the movies) involves Katniss accepting her role as catalyst and symbol for the revolution - but she spends most of the series acting like a victim. Jennifer Lawrence does a superb job of capturing the transformation in her facial expressions at the end of the movie. If you enjoyed the first movie, you will probably enjoy this one. The game graphics and combat scenes are well done. It generally stays true to the major events in the book, and actually does a better job of keeping the conflict of romantic/friendship/family loyalties more a believable undercurrent.

This movie is one that I have been waiting a good while for. I really enjoyed The Hunger Games and this sequel is just as great and maybe even better. It is so closely connected to it's novel which I love just as much. Catching Fire was my favorite novel from the series and this movie did it justice. I can watch this movie multiple times without becoming bored of it. I can't wait for Mockingjay!

I know Mockingjay is already out in theaters, but I had only just watched Catching Fire when I purchased it on Black Friday. I was not disappointed! This is a great sequel to the Hunger Games, and the characters were great once again. Intense scenes once in a while, but nothing too major (for younger eyes). I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes a little action in their movies!

The movie itself is done very well. The cinematography is wonderful, the acting is great, characters and visual effects are wonderful! Getting the blu-ray, dvd, and digital copy is also a great thing! When I ordered online at best buy.com and got my package right away I was impressed, oh and the dress in the movie (if you're a fan you know) was absolutely amazing!!! Can't wait for the next one!

Pressed with the outcome of the movie. The book was well written and thedetails were vivid in my brain. They put it to life really well. Wished a few posts was in it from the book but then you would turn a 2 1/2 hour movie into a six hour movie. What they put in was great. Ending done really well and makes you want for the next installment to already be in theaters. No disappointments for me.

This second part of The Hunger Games series was very enjoyable. It continues not long after the first movie ends. The plot kept me guessing and the end of the movie has me ready to see the next installment now. Another great thing is that the main cast figures have returned, helping to maintain character consistency. I didn't rate the Extras on the discs as I haven't been through them yet.

Catching Fire without spoiling anything is an all around good film. It starts off slow and once it hits it's pace is when it starts to shine. I can understand certain elements from the book have been altered or shortened. The one thing I don't understand is why take a single book and divide it into 2 films other than for monetary reasons. I hate the fact that The hobbit was divided into 3 movies and the fact that now I have to wait till 2015 to see the end of The Hunger Games is disappointing. Also to note that Philip Seymour Hoffman wil be making his posthumous appearances in the last films.

The movie is exciting and really held my interest for the whole thing. Now I can't wait to see the next one that comes out, even though I've read the books. Jennifer Lawrence is great as Katniss, and Sam Claflin is a perfect Finnick. The steel book case is great too. Love that I was able to get it, the steel books are hard to find if you wait too long. I would definitely recommend this.
