In the 2nd installment of the Hunger Games, the movie is much closer to the book than the 1st movie was. This movie is fast paced and exciting and covers much of the storyline. The new characters are awesome and Jennifer Lawrence continues to excel as Katniss Everdeen.

This is a great second chapter to the Hunger Games story. It follows what happens to the characters after the original Hunger Games and then continues their story in a compelling way. I am anxiously awaiting the remaining two movies which will finish the book trilogy.

Although the plot of the movie closely follows the books, the movie provides a more complete visual explanation of the series of events presented in the book. It closely follows the plot of the books and provides a better representation of the theme of the story in the book.The DVD is not too long and it has excellent effects and extras. I highly recommend the movie to other viewers than enjoy this type of movie.

This is by far the best of all the Hunger Games movies. It has plenty of action and some great character moments. Jennifer Lawrence is spectacular as Katniss. With both the blu ray and digital versions included in this set, it is a great value. Don't miss it.

I enjoyed the sequel nearly as much as the first. I have not read the books, but I really enjoyed the movie and I think Jennifer Lawrence is an awesome actress. This Blu-ray set was a great value at Best Buy and I appreciate the digital copy option. Great value.

If you loved the first Hunger Games , you can't miss the second installment. Non stop action, and everything you expect. This is one of those movies you can't stop watching once you start. Get your drinks and snacks and sit down. You won't get up til the show is over.

This is an excellent execution of a movie based on the book. They have greatly improved this adaptation over the first movie in the series. Though it is very good, it may represent a highpoint in the series as Mockingjay was not as satisfying to read as Catching Fire.

Love when great movies are available on DVD for such a low price - buying them it less expensive than streaming or renting and you can watch it as much as you like without taking up any digital space or worrying about connection speed/streaming issues.

You won't be disappointed by Catching Fire. The cinematography is great. The subtle change in aspect ratio during the arena scene was perfect and provided a great experience. The combo pack lets you watch the movie from your home theater to computer to mobile device!

I wasn't sure about the series at first but the writers and director have brought this world in turmoil to life. I only wish they would show more of the districts geographically so that we could get a better picture of the proximity of the districts from one another.

I loved this film in the theater, and it looks just as great at home on TV. Also a bunch of extra features, and a code was included with purchase for the free ultraviolet version - which I immediately used on Roku/Tablet/Laptop for all my UV programs! Great buy!

Most sequels never live up to the first movie. However, this one did in everyway, including picking up right where it left off in the story line. It had some moments of long talk scenes but necessary for the plot. Def. recommend watching many twists ahead so enjoy!

Catching Fire is an impressive step up from the original Hunger Games, which was a perfectly decent action film despite the build up and shaky camera work. It ups the ante in the plot, characters, and action departments greatly delivering a great sequel all around.

Movies based off books or comics are increasingly popular, unfortunately most of them don't hold up so well against the source material and perform well. The Hunger Games movies, so far, have been great adaptions, and this sequel to the first movie is no exception.

This movie is incredible. It follows the book almost perfectly but still adds a cinematic flair. Lawrence and Hutcherson give flawless performances. I love the steelbook packaging as well. Very sleek looking. My one complaint is it didn't come with the DVD as well.

Purchased this for my son who loves the series. He has the first one and decided to purchase this for his collection. Can't get enough of the movie, he watches them all the time. Great image quality. Perfect to have around on cold rainy days for a movie night.

I think the hunger games series is amazing. Catching fire is no exception. I love the combo package that best buy provides which allows me to enjoy the movie on the go via my tablet or phone, or insert the blueray in my home theatre system.

As with current book-to-movie titles this aligns well with the book. That said of course there are things left out and some modifications as a result but the overall essence is there. Read the book, then watch the movie or watch the movie then read the book.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I watched it. I love Jennifer Lawrence she is one of my fav actresses and I think she has done a great job playing the main character. It even kept me ready for the third installment so i definitely give it a thumbs up.

I'm a big fan of sci fi movies in general. I didn't read the books, but my wife did & as a big movie fan it was overall a great movie and my wife loved it as well. She also felt that it was relatively accurate to the books. The CGI and cinematography were awesome.
