This is an awesome Best Buy-exclusive Blu-Ray steelbook. Very good deal, since I purchased it along with the second Hunger Games steelbook. Very simple single-disc edition, but the steelbook was my intent to collect. Nice artwork and will be a perfect addition to my collection!

Terrific movie! Great graphics. Action packed. You will like this movie because it is so well done. Good acting, Great graphics. Full of Action. Too graphic for small children but fine for teens. I would recommend this movie highly to anyone that likes fantasy & action.

The Hunger Games is the opening chapter of an enthralling trilogy tracing the courage against a totalitarian regime and its strongman leader. The story builds on the premise of a young woman trying to protect her sister from almost certain death to a crescendo in the chilling finale. The story is riveting from start to finish and worth the view.

I really like the Hunger Game series, it is one of my favorite series to watch. I really enjoy the decent price on Black Friday, so i pick one up and enjoyed watching it with my siblings :) Would Highly Recommend for people who haven't watched it.

My daughter and I read the books. I expected to be disappointed in the movie, they are rarely as good. This movie does not disappoint I will be buying the next one as well. I love the plot the actors were amazing the directing the scenes makeup everything was so well done.

One of the best movie in recent years. Screenplay, great acting and cinematography make this a captivating movie. I suspect we will see many sequels in the next few years. Would certainly recommend to all, especially in the blue-ray version. The steel case is quite nice.

I've only recently started collecting 4k movies, the picture quality is great but for me where they really shine is the sound if you have a decent receiver the difference is amazing and with the hunger games there's a lot to hear and see.

I was skeptical about watching this movie, but the hype had its relevance. In a government controlled society, two people per district are chosen as "tributes" to serve the purpose of entertaining the masses to ensure that war never takes place again. Worth a view and the price.

Fans of the book will be happy to know that the movie follows things very closely. The casting is excellent and everyone seems to fit their characters from the book. Jennifer Lawrence shines in the leading role but veterans like Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks fill out the cast nicely. Lenny Kravitz does a surprisingly good job in his portrayal of Cinna.

The Hunger Games may be a popular book, but the movie comes across as somewhat generic. Still, when viewed alongside the superior sequel, it holds up as a necessary intro to set up the background and initiation of the story arc. Strong steelbook release, with good cover art and an excellent decision to keep the series insignia (placing it on the back cover).

Great movie. I didn't see this in the theaters. Rather I purchased this movie. Got it on sale. It's another action/adventure with a female lead. In some ways this movie reminds me of Hoosiers. It's a Cinderella story. I haven't seen the sequel yet but it's on the list.

Love when great movies are available on DVD for such a low price - buying them it less expensive than streaming or renting and you can watch it as much as you like without taking up any digital space or worrying about connection speed/streaming issues.

I am particularly taken by how realistic the view of the future is in The Hunger Games. The acting is also extraordinary. Also, the story is fairly clean in its morals, a rarity these days. I found the story quite riveting, and I intend to get the whole series.

Granddaughters got a new 4k tv and 4k dvd player for christmas. Because they love the series I bought two episodes in 4k for them to watch.They loved them! Quality and clarity was wonderful look forward to seeing other titles in this format.

I finally got to reading the book and really enjoyed it! So, with the book being read, it was only natural to go right into watching the movie. With the book fresh in my mind, I was able to really notice the differences in the movie and the book. The movie was not bad, but avid readers and fans of the series would feel the same. Not bad overall!

I recently picked up all of the Hunger Games movies available on blu-ray and while I won't comment on the story. The picture clarity and audio is far superior than downloads. If you have 5.1 this is the one to get. (but I bet you already knew that)

The movie may be long but its a great movie! Ahaha don't make any plans for almost 3 hours because they just past right by. Jennifer Lawrence is a great and accomplished actor which does this character justice! I do t want to give anything away. Just watch it!!!!

I love this trilogy. Jennifer Lawrence has done a very good job playing the part of Katniss Everdean. The movie is colorful and so much detail. The CGI almost feels real. In 4K this movie looks as good if you were in the movies.

Love these limited edition steelbooks! Best buy seems to get most of em and this was a great deal. Awesome movie in a limited edition case. Great quality case with alternate art and the blu ray is packed full of bonus features along with the movie. Great deal

The movie is fantastic! The story is interesting and exciting, of course, but Jennifer Lawrence's performance is superb. It is definitely a movie to add to the collection, especially in the Steel Box, which is looks beautiful on the shelf.
