I loved the books, and the movie was pretty good too. In my opinion movies don't do books justice. It was a little slow at times, but all and all I really enjoyed watching it and glad I bought it.

The movie is good at working on setting up what is coming in the second part. It is not as action packed as the others; but works on giving the foundation for the final installment on this series.

I enjoyed The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, but Mockingjay was definitely a disappointment. All too often we find ourselves watching the same scene repeatedly through various mediums--first we se it through the eyes of Katniss, then the eyes of the editors who are creating the videos, and finally again through the eyes of the viewers themselves. If they had focused on the story instead of on trying to drag it out to justify the creation of two movies, this would have been a much tighter and more enjoyable film. Here's hoping the second half makes sitting through the first half worthwhile! (I would still recommend the series, but this is not the place to begin viewing.)

I pre-ordered this movie from Best Buy and got a digital version to watch 2 weeks before the DVD / Blu-ray release. I will definitely pre-order movies again if I can get a early digital release...

This movie is a part 1 of the Mockingjay. There was a lot of excitment; however, the begining was a little slow. There was no significant difeerences bewteen the begining of the movie and the ending. Hpefully part 2 draws a better conclusion.

Great movie but I still wish they hadn't split the final part into two to make us double dip on purchases!!. But if you have the other movies then its a must buy and the Steelbook case looks cool.

This movie had lots of action and is the type of movie I like to watch. Make sure you watch the first 2 before watching this one or you wont know whats happening. I cant wait to see the next one.

I thought that the first two movies (have both) where better than Mockingjay (the third). Movie was Good, I enjoyed it, but I exspected more, I was a little disappointed, and I hope that the fourth and final movie is the best of the series...

The movie was good. Didn't follow the book as well as one would hope, but rarely can they do that in the time of a movie. Quality was definitely better than the first Hunger Games. And, got it at a good sale price! Beats going to the theater!

It was much better than the book, I saw it in theaters and thought well that's a good movie so I bought it at best buy cuz like it was on sale and I thought I'd watch it more than once and it works great with a blu ray player and here we are

Mockingjay Part 1 leaves you wanting more. Great movie. Where other Blu-Ray movies don't have many special features, this one has plenty of them and makes me feel I got a lot of bang for my buck.

Very cool movie, enjoyed every moment of it! must-have for any Steele book collector to go with the rest of your set, can't wait for the final movie to come out it should have a lot more action!

Jennifer Lawrence kind of ruins this movie for me. She wasn't bad in the first one, the second one was meh, but this one I really think she didn't enhance the role. Having read the books I don't think she's a good representation of Katniss.

This movie in the Hunger Game series didn't disappoint! There was plenty of action and interesting story line to keep me interested. I only wish they had not put this final movie into two parts.

Mocking Jay pt. 1 definitely captivated me. It had more action and the story line was well received. Added to that the product came in a steelbook, it's excellent for a collector such as myself.

The last of Hunger Games trilogy as far as the books were concerned, left a lot to be desired. It was predictable and slow. It was nice to see the changes they made for the movie and it moved at a quick pace and was entertaining all in all.

These movies have continued to get better and better! The performances were consistent with the rest of the movies. I understand why they split the last book, but, I dock one star because I feel like it was a little hurried towards the end.

I purchased the DVD for a relative who wasn't able to purchase one. She has been a follower of the Hunger Games Series. The DVD was a great purchase at $14.99. My pre-order experience was great.

Really like the Steelbook holder for this DVD. Sets it apart from all the other case holders. Have all the other 3 Hunger Games in these holders and adding to this collection is always a treat.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 is great addition to the film series. The extras on this Blu Ray - DVD set tare extensive and always fun to watch. Loads of facts and behind the scenes items.
