I loved this movie. It's sweet, and funny and really quite brilliant. It is about an imaginary world where no one can lie (and no one has ever been able to lie), and what happens to the very human, but kind-hearted man who first becomes able to. Though his intentions are mostly altruistic (remember, I also said he is very human, so he also does things to benefit himself), he inadvertently causes some big problems in his world. It's all very funny and sweet.

This movie is very very funny! I'm not a Ricky Gervais fan in general. That doesn't stop this little snack of a comedy from being a delightful, charming, and satisfying treat. Leave your dogma in a another room and sit down to enjoy watching the little guy win. The last scene with the new family at breakfast reads like an old Borscht Belt comedian's joke.

The story is definitely a great one, also very original. Its not at all action packs, infact there isn't a whole lot of action at all... But if you're into decent story telling and you watch it with an open mind its worth it. Originaly i thought it would be a total chick-flick, but its not at all. It made me laugh and held my interest, what more do i need....

A man who suddenly discovers the ability to lie. Makes for a clever and funny movie plot.
