    I love this movie for its fifties aesthetic and classic story. Brad Bird is one of my favorite story tellers. I miss 2D animation, and I like how the CGI for the Iron Giant blends with the 2D animation so well.

    There is some settling in a domestic storyline here, which is occasionally dull, otherwise the bad guy is effective and the spirit realm looks amazingly three dimensional. It still has a charming quality much as the other two.
