Jack Ryan is a favorite character for many. This 5 disc collection is a great buy!

The Jack Ryan 5 movie collection comes with in a box with five blue ray discs inside. The item that I received was damaged and appeared to have been repackaged. When I removed the cellophane, the entire plastic band which holds the printed media has been cut entirely through. Inside the mechanism which holds the discs platters in place was broken. The broken parts were missing.

In order of release, this collection includes the incomparable Sean Connery in "Hunt For Red October" - doesn't get any better! Next comes "Patriot games' with Harrison Ford in the lead role with Anne Archer as his wife; James Earl Jones recreates his role as the Admiral. "Clear and Present Danger" comes next with Harrison Ford and Anne Archer again continuing the series with another plot to foyle. "The Sum of All Fears" debuts Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan along with Liev Schreiber and Bruce McGill in a Cold War stand-off with the Russians. "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" closes out this collection with the introduction of Chris Pine as the latest Jack Ryan character as he starts his secretive CIA career.

I had 4 of the 5 Jack Ryan movies and wanted the missing one, The Hunt for Red October. Buying the collection allowed me to upgrade the DVD versions I had to Blu-Ray and to reduce space the 4 individual movies were taking up. This Blu-Ray collection has each of the movies on a separate disk and each disk is fitted on to its own spindle. Thus each disk is protected from scuffing which can happen when collection disks are packed together.

I've always liked the Jack Ryan movies, but this purchase gave me the opportunity to see all the different portrayals of him. Each of the actors were right on the mark, but favorite will always be Harrison Ford. You will really enjoy doing a Jack Ryan binge and seeing all 5 movies in one sitting.

All those awesome movies in one package for the price of less than one individual Blu-ray? No way! Yes way! I wanted the shadow recruit movie and it was sold out in the entire state, but I just looked around and stumbled upon this! Super excited to add to my collection!

This is a nice collection of good to very good action/adventure movies that happen to be tied together by the "Jack Ryan" name. Since there are a variety of 'name bread' actors playing the Jack Ryan role there is a very different feel about each movie and thus it does not play out as a 'series' or even as sequels. So, I see each movie as a stand alone experience that are worth having in your collection of action/adventure movies.

What a great deal for this blu ray. 4 of the movies are fantastic...the most recent not so much. Red October is definitely my favorite. If you bought these individually you would pay 2 to 3x the price of this set. All of the films have some bonus features as well.

If you like Tom Clancy you will like this collection Blue Ray is a good upgrade on the picture and sound from the original dvd release The extras also give a good history behind the movie series and why it has deviated for the original book series

The Jack Ryan movies by Harrison Ford and Sean Connery have always been a favorite with my family. Having the two prequels to complement the set makes this collection even better. The movies are thrilling, exciting and action packed.

It is always nice to have a themed group of movies in one set (or case). These Jack Ryan movies are all suspenseful and action packed. And it is great not be searching thru stacks of dvds when they are together in one case.

I never realized that hunt for red October was more than a standalone film. The entire group is great, all standalone films using the same character. I had seen most of them but never realized they were connected.

Buying this collection for a Christmas gift...I own all of these movies and enjoy them greatly...good action and suspense...all of them in one collection is definitely a plus...my friend will love them

In these movies, Jack Ryan is portrayed by 3 different actors, and they each do a little bit of a different take on the character. These movies are great fun to watch and the price at Best Buy was perfect!

There are some DVD's that I am upgrading to Blu-ray/4K movies solely for the viewing experience. Great movies are even greater with a bigger viewing screen and the Blu-ray/4K technology.

Watch all 5 movies so you can pick your favorite Jack Ryan actor. Will it be Alex Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck or Chris Pine? Have fun choosing.

I couldn't pass up this deal. Five movies for under $20. It was a no-brainer. The Jack Ryan movies are some of the most entertaining ones a person can see

Love every single one of these movies!! Don't know if I actually paid attention to the fact that they were all the same character, over the years!!
