While this is a documentary, it plays out like a regular movie, with Donkey Kong having almost as big a role as the competitors. I haven't made my way through the bonus materials yet, but the feature is great.

Good movie about a subject that very few people know is out "there". It was funny, insightful and entertaining all the way around.

King of Kong? King of Documentaries!

This documentary was unlike anything else I had ever seen in that genre, let alone movies in general. I found that I was so emotionally invested with the character of Steve Webe and was cheering him on the entire time. This is yet another great film that was just underrated when it should be seen by everyone. IT IS EPIC. Everything is executed perfectly. Story, information, background on the characters, tensions, comedy, everything. You can't not feel the emotional rollercoaster Steve is. Steve Webe is my hero. No doubts about that, and if you see this documentary, which definately does NOT fall into the category of "boring docs," you can see why for yourself!

The King of Kong was very good. I HATE documentaries and this is one of my favorite movies of all time. It gently pokes fun at it's subjects but maintains a surprisingly high level of respect for the people involved. This movie made me feel emotions that I would have never expected to feel in a movie about 50 year old Donkey Kong players. TKoK:AFoQ has all of the scandal and corruption that you would expect from any ganster mob movie but on a slightly less serious level. Everyone should see this movie. It will, at the very least, make you feel 10,000 times better about your own life!

This is the greatest documentary of all time. It's the perfect real-life good guy vs. bad guy story. At first, i was skeptical about seeing this movie, but i couldn't turn my attention away from it once it started. It has something for everyone: it has comedy, drama, and a pretty good soundtrack that sets the mood well. This is one of those movies that you wish would go on forever and never end.

An awesome David vs Goliath story about the underdog in an arcade game tournament.
