Pros: Artwork Cone: Everything else about it!!! Not even a B-movie. Looks like a home video movie with horrible cast and lines.

1) For the time this was made, I can see why it is held in high regard. It fits in well with other films of the same period. 2) In this day and age, it is fairly sedate. The remake is more in line with today's standards of violence/gore/horror. I'd have to say that the remake is better than the original. 3) Definitely worth seeing at least once, especially if you like the films of Wes Craven.

This comes with a limited edition print. Has commentary from the cast as well as both directors and producers. A few short movies packed in the extras as well as behind the scenes. There are some deleted scenes and forbidden footage. Outtakes and at 1.85:1 format region 1 (A) at a running time of 84 minutes.

All together a pretty average film. If you've seen the remake you owe it to yourself to see this. In my opinion the remake is better. The soundtrack is a bit cheesy. The resolution on this is improved over the DVD but could be better.

Great to see my first horror flick I saw in the movies 40 years ago. Price was right and I enjoyed it. Would probably return but wouldn't want to have to deal with return policy of best buy.

I get that this is a cult classic, for its time I'm sure it shocked a lot of people. Some of the music feels off considering the content. I didn't hate it but I think I prefer the remake better.

Wes Craven's first film is just as unsettling today as when it first came out. Though no hi-def presentation will make TLHOTL look "good," it's certainly never looked better. With a bevy of special features, this is a must-have for fans.

It's only a movie it's only a movie!!! Again & again in the 70's people would repeat those lines, no matter how many times they repeated it, it was a true story. But Wes craven & Sean s Cunningham directed & produced a horror classic. & they would both create two more classics that would live on to be legends, can you guess these film? Last house on the left is just e best of the best.

No matter how much you clean this one up, you'll still feel a little dirty after watching it. Wes Craven created a name for himself in horror with this first film, helping to define the sick & sleazy seventies exploitation film feel. Blissfully free of cell phones or SUVs, the original LAST HOUSE adds modern nastiness to the Ingmar Berman classic, THE VIRGIN SPRING, of which it is a retelling. Classic horror, classic sleaze, classic sadism & revenge.

It's hard to recommend The Last House on the Left as a movie for people who haven't seen it, but for those of you who have, this is the definitive presentation. Arrow have outdone themselves putting together this package, and shy of someone finding an actual uncut version, this is the best we're going to see.

The original exploitation flick. Very nasty and filthy, but very much worth a watch.

Like with most older horror movies, viewing it today doesn't have its same effect that it would have in the 70s. I like the remake more, but this one isn't bad, just seems cheesy towards the end.

I bought this movie to enjoy an old classic thriller film in BluRay. While it doesn't match today's special effects, etc. there's something about the eeriness that the old film delivers.

The re-done cover is crazy awesome, but itvs basically just a cheap hd transfer of the dvd.

I have seen this many times, you can't go wrong with the classic Wes Craven movie!!!

Very realistic horror. Brave subject matter. Not for children or immature audiences. Crude language and violence. All that having been said, classic Wes Craven.
