I watched this movie several years ago. There are certain movies that come to mind as "unforgetable" and "collectible" This movie is one of them. The lead actoing is flawless. Truth is stranger than fiction - the movie is based on the true story of one of the most ruthless dictators in African history. It is not one for the kids due to graphic violence and torture in spots, but the movie has a lesson we can all learn: how easily power corrupts even the most well intended.

Wonderful performances from Forest Whitaker and James Mcavoy! The movie starts out getting the audience comfortable and just as soon as you think all is well in the land of OZ, BAM! It pits you in a roller coaster ride that will have you on the edge of your seat! Definitely worth watching if you haven't gotten a chance to yet!

This is one of my favorite movies. The main actor Forrest really out did himself. The way he got into character was amazing. I hope he got an Oscar award on this movie because he really deserved one.

This is an amazing film providing award-worthy performances from Forrest Whitaker and future lead stars James McAvoy and Scandal’s Kerry Washington.

The Acting from Whitaker is beyond superb. A very well done film filled with drama and history.

You will love this movie if you love history and drama.

This is a great movie that tells the story of a cruel and powerful president of Uganda during the 1970's. The movie is great, but the viewer is left out of how awful and terrible the president actually is. There could be two reasons for this. First, the president's doctor, the other main character, is also confused and left out on the politics of the country so the directer wanted the viewer to have the same experience. Two, it was done badly. I think it is the first of the two. It is a great movie and I definetly recommend viewing it.

Forest Whitaker absolutely deserved the Oscar for this movie! James McAvoy also gives an outstanding performance. It was also nice to see Gillian Anderson again.

Forest Whitaker gives one of his best performances in his career as the corruptible dictator Idi Amin.But the story is set around his personal doctor Nicholas Garrigan played by James McAvoy.He has just came out of medical school,and wants to go to Uganda.The end of the movie focuses on Amin's downfall were Whitaker really makes his mark.

This was excellent in showing how country and citizens were effected by military rule! How lucky we are here.
