There don't seem to be any shows on TV anymore that are without gimmicks and cheap laughs, but Last Man On Earth is a rare gem. Will Forte has really created a special story with this show, one that strikes a good balance of funny and serious, and is mindful to avoid plot-holes. In a few seasons, I may declare this my favorite TV show of all-time, surpassing The Office.

I hadn't seen any episodes on Fox before buying this. I bought it based on the reviews here and the overall concept of the show. I binge watched the whole season over the course of a few days. Overall very funny. The episodes are one continuous storyline so they need to be watched in order. I'm hoping to catch the reruns of season 2 in order on TV, but if not, I'll have to wait for season 2 to come out on DVD to continue watching. Being a pretty funny non-animated comedy on Fox, I expect it to be cancelled at any moment.

Great premise with solid humor that makes for great commentary on the human condition. My only disappointment (SPOILER ALERT!!!) is that the "last man on earth," doesn't spend enough time being the ONLY person on earth. It felt as if the writers ran out of scenarios for the main character to encounter solo. It's a shame, really, because I can imagine a plethora of fun situations for him to endure - and solve - without the need for another character.

This show is hilarious. I didn't give it a chance when it first aired because I didn't think the first 10 to 15 minutes were that funny and I switched channels. But I noticed that others have given it rave reviews so I thought I'd give it another chance when I saw the DVD set on sale. Will Forte has created a very funny show and he is brilliant in it. I'm so glad I gave it another chance.

A survivor of a virus that wipes out the earth's entire population tries to get by and see if there are any other survivors. Every week his best laid plans go hilariously awry. He just can't win. Definitely one of the best shows you're not watching. Check me out on www.blackliontravel.com

I tried to not like this show. I already watch enough TV as it is. But having the TV already on after watching Family Guy, this show really grew on me. It is kind of a qwerky type of comedy like Arrested Development. You have to watch a few episodes to get into it. But once you do, you can get hooked.

When the previews for this show initially came out, I said, "How can you have a one man show? This is going to get old fast!". Without giving away any spoilers, it gets beyond the "Home Alone" mentality quickly, and turns into a post-apocalyptic comedy that you would only expect on Fox.

If you're a fan of zany comedies, you'll like this. Will Forte is great and the supporting cast is pretty good too, especially Kristen Schaal. They don't really go into why they're the last people on earth but focus more on the relationships they now have with each other.

I wasn't sure about this series when I first heard about it, but I watched a few episodes and am hooked. It is great to see something unconventional on tv, instead of all the standard sit-coms with kooky neighbors, crazy bosses and laugh tracks...

I watched this show when it first came out on Hulu and I'm still enjoying it to this day. This 1st season remains a classic. There are a lot of deleted scenes which were cool to see and the gag reel was funny as well.

Watched this show during its first season run and loved it--original and irreverent. Will Forte is great! So happy to have this show in my collection. Only wish the studio would consider releasing this and other comedies on blu-ray rather than solely DVD.

Will Forte has stretched the limits of his creativity in this new show. It explores what you would do if you were one of the last two people on earth. It's a world with no rules, no laws, and no boundaries. It's fun for a while, but ultimately life without friends proves to be very difficult to bear. So, he and his only choice for a wife must repopulate the world and at the same time hope that by the time his children are born, the world will feel like a less lonely place. I give this show three stars for a great but not perfect take on the answer to the "What if...?" question of what surviving an apocalypse would be like.

The Last Man on Earth is a really funny TV show. If you appreciate the humor of Will Forte or have enjoyed any of Phil Lord and Chris Miller's films, then I suggest giving this series a shot. The DVD is great and has some fun extras.

So now I wanna watch this show....and bestbuy had my back at a good price. Funny. Though provoking? You'll just have to wait and see. Nah. Just kidding. It's not. Just watch it.

I was hesitant about buying this to check it out but it was worth the purchase. If you like to laugh, this is a good, funny show. Looking forward to season 2.

Funny, entertaining show with a great cast and a number of funny developments. Not really for kids due to some adult situations and lack of role models.

i missed the show when it aired on tv saw that dvd was on sale so i figured i would try it out the show is funny an episodes are short but great...

Bought this because my wife and I love this show. It was a great price and I couldn't pass it up. We haven't watched it yet, but plan on doing so this weekend.

There are very few network tv shows that are actually funny. This was a pleasant surprise when it first aired on FOX.

great premise but not what I thought. the humor is odd to me but there are little nuggets mixed in that make me laugh out loud.
