Great movie. It hasn't been talked about and has fallen towards the forgotten area of films from this time period but it a steal for the price at 5 bucks.

Good movie with Tom Cruise playing a Civil War soldier who is involved with training Japanese men to fight western style.You have the old guard Samurai[Ken Watanabe] whos ways are coming to and end.Cruise ends up in a village an is adopted and trained into the Samurai life style.Great action and great acting all around.Recommended.

I saw this a few years ago on DVD. I saw this in the store and had to see it again on Blu ray. Definitely worth seeing again and worth adding to my collection. This is like a Samarai version of Dances With Wolves.

This movie is great. The direction, performances, and even the score is breathtaking. Audio and video are great and the special features are pulled from the DVD so there isn't anything new there.

Until my recent viewing of this film, I had never loved it. Maybe because I'm getting older or maybe I was just in the right mood but this was a perfect Saturday afternoon watch.

One of my all time favorite films. Beautifully filmed, incredible locations and costumes. Very well acted. Very interesting storyline with one of the best scores ever. Highly, highly recommend.

To my delight, I found this in the bargain bin at a brick and mortar store. Haven't seen it in years, but always loved this movie. Looks great upsampled to 4k. Happy to have it in my collection!

I have loved this movie since the first time i saw it and when i saw it for this price in steelbook format and realized for some reason i do not own it already i had to get it.

Very good movie. I bought this dvd because of commercials. I have yet to see this movie uninterrupted. This has solved the problem.

Like Tom Cruise, dislike Tom Cruise. If you like drama, history and warriors, and have not seen this movie because T.C. is in it... you are punishing yourself. His best movie ever.

Was an amazing movie to watch.it almost lasts 3 hrs but you don't notice it is so long because the movie is just that interesting. You kind of get the feeling of how Japan was back back in the days

Had this one on DVD and since I upgraded my gaming PC to include a Blu-Ray Drive and hooked it all up to the new Samsung 48" TV, this movie is even better in a much higher resolution picture! :D

I really like this movie. When I was at the best buy store I saw it was only $5 dollars so I knew I had to have it. They had other good titles for the same price so it was a good deal

Perhaps Tom Cruise's best role, this pseudo-historical action/drama is compelling and touching. The Blu-Ray quality easily makes it worth the purchase, even if you already have it on DVD.

Please watch the movie as a great Japanese history page with Tom Cruise in it, not the other way around! Tom Cruise is in this movie as salt on sweet watermelon...Brings out the flavor!

This is an entertaining movie but if understanding Japanese culture, samurai and history. It is definitely worth to watch it.

this in my opinion is tom's best movie ever. good sword fighting scenes. the story and acting performances is what makes this movie so great though. this is a MUST see for anyone.

This is a great movie with good character development and superb story.

This is a compelling story of feudal Japan as the Samurai are nearing the end of their era. Cinematography is amazing, the costumes are epic and the weaponry is very detailed.
