The Last starfighter as classic. Even better on Blu-ray then DVD.

Good movie, Very interesting old style movie that actually entertains you.

'The Last Starfighter' ('84) is an age and era defining classic. Possibly the zenith of post-Star Wars sci-fi before the decade began moving away from this kind of sincere, fantasy adventure. I adore every aspect of this film from the early '80s setting, the thrill of cabinet arcade games, the "call to adventure," Catherine Mary Stewart in pig tails, robot clones, intergalactic bounty hunters, Craig Safan's powerhouse film score, to the cutting edge early CGI. It's all awesome to me! Arrow Video does it again by releasing this definitive 4k transfer of director Nick Castles classic film. The video quality is incredible with great shadow contrast, rich detail and a warm cinematic feel with film grain intact. The audio is fantastic with three options (5.1, 4.1 and original 2.0). Plus packed with several special features and gorgeous new packaging. For any true fan of this movie this release from Arrow is a must have. No question. This is the best the film has ever looked. Highly recommended!

I saw L.S. in 84 (3rd grade in Germany). No 2nd viewing to the film until 2019 when I purchased the disc. It’s a good afternoon flick. It’s dated but that’s half the charm of it! It’s awesome that all these old movies are being released on Blu-ray and 4k!

Great movie with some outstanding cgi considering how long ago this movie was made.

Loved this movie growing up. Yes the CGI is horribly good, but that is part of what makes it great. Great movie! HD upgrade is well worth the wait.

Picture looks amazing but the 5.1 sound mix was kind of meh and didn’t impress me. Most 4k movies i own have 7.1 audio like Raiders of the Lost Ark which sounds amazing. Not sure why they didnt do it for this classic 80s movie. Standard blu ray of this sounds better for some reason so save your money.

Great movie. Special effects are sooo dated but I don't care. I was hoping it came with the digital code, but it doesn't :(. Bought on sale for $5.99. I would recommend to a friend.
