Great movie I'm glad they made a Blu-ray version of this movie

Nostalgic for childhood memories? A simpler time? A tried and true story? Look no further! First feature film to use computer imagery instead of models for its visual effects (movies previously only used computer graphics to represent computer graphics). Oh and the theme is so epic! After hearing it I feel like I could take on the entire Ko-Dan Armada myself! Enjoyed the "Heroes of the Screen" retrospective that lets you see some of the cast and crew look back on the film. Wish this movie would get the 4k UHD treatment, but I doubt that'll ever happen. This is the next best thing though. A no-brainer at $6.

I remember watching this as a kid. It definitely looks dated but still a fun watch.

Great effects for the 80s and an upbeat and sometimes funny flick.

Another classic film that was one of the early examples of CGI effects. When they do use them it is impressive for that time decades ago. It just has that video game feel to it. It gets exciting and just gives you that feeling that anyone could be the lead in this film since the the premise is so surprising and cool. Arrow finally has given it the proper restoration and you get a huge set of bonus features. Video and audio are both very good.

A great movie that deserves a remake or a sequel to continue the story.

Popcorn type movie!!! Cross between Galaxy Quest and Starwars!!

Great movie that you can watch over and over again

An absolute classic! My wife and I saw it in the theaters when it first came out all those many years ago. Loved it then, love it now! Great sci fi and terrific story telling put together. You get to love the characters and root for them as the movie goes on. So glad they did a reissue for the 25th Anniversary. Just one of those movies you can watch with the whole family and thoroughly enjoy!

The earth is threatened with destruction by an alien force. Defensive force are minimal. A great warrior hero is needed to save the day. He is found by his skillful playing of an arcade game. The game the tactics, forms and weapons of the aliens while the hero uses the defenders of Earth's best armament, a starfighter. Of course there is only one against thousands. Also features one of my favorite actresses, Catherine Mary Stewart.

I opted for the blue ray cause it’s cheaper than the one up aroun $30. Just couldn’t bring myself to spend that on this movie: just wanted to watch an old one from childhood and I’m sure with my new 4K player the upscaling will be fine

Love this movie. One of my all time favorite 80's movies. I really liked the main song, even have that song downloaded on my iPod! Like the idea of the reason behind the video game in the movie. Really liked the way they portrayed the clone of Alex too. He was very funny. The special effects for this movie were awesome for an 80's movie. Wish they had made a second one that continued the story in the future.

This was a no-brainer for me to buy. I missed getting this on DVD but since I found this on Blu-ray, I had to have it. The second film to heavily incorporate CGI effects instead of doing the traditional models for the spaceships. A great film that shows how far special effects have come today.

The Blu-ray provided an excellent picture and sound. This is a great movie especially for teenagers. The hero is a young man who excels at a space starfighter game. He is unaware that he is about to be recruited to save the universe from a foreign invader. This movie has great special effects for its time and it is a good story.

Arrow does it again! Not only is the remastering of the video and audio elements create the absolute best viewing experience of this 80’s classic, but the special features and behind the scenes making of elements make this a MUST-OWN for any true fan of sci-fi or 80’s movies.

One of my childhood favorites. Fans will love it others maybe not so much. The video is good for this movie. The audio is just okay. Define worth adding to the collection. Decent set of special features included.
