I loved this movie when it originally came out in 1984! Having it on a standard DVD, it was a no brainer updating to Blu-ray! The picture is now in HD with DTS 5.1 audio making it sound so much better during its intergalactic scenes! Great price from Best Buy on sale and a higly recommended movie!

Very cool digital computer early cgi graphics. This movie was very popular back in the 90s and had huge potential. There should be remake or part 2 to this classic.

Really great movie, one of the all-time greats. Hard to find movies like these today. The acting to the action was really nice, watched twice before the week was over. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase!

Interesting extras, understanding they were produced remotely so not as good quality as if the interviews were done in studio. Nice blu ray quality for a fun 80s sci if movie.

The rating really is solely for the 4K remaster that this 80’s Sci-Fi classic gets from the amazing team at Arrow. The special features are mostly ported over from previous releases with a couple new ones in the mix. Pick it up if you were a fan of this movie

I was recently reminded of this movie and really wanted to see it again. I have to say that the picture was fantastic being Blu-ray but even still, it was every bit as good as I remember it.

the movie follow the classic heroes journey. the effects are now outdated but at the time were cutting edge. the movie is well acted and proved that a good story doesn't have to be completely original if the story is told well.

A classic movie and a tale of a computer player who has to use his skills to save the planet... And more. If he's good enough to do it. Being 25 years old it is now kind of dated but the story still stands. It's a good movie even after all these years.

One of my favorite sci fi films. One of the first to use fully computer generated special effects. The transfer is beautiful, so much better quality than the dvd.

Very happy and excited to pick up this film restored by ARROW. Love the artwork of the slip cover. One of my favorite films and can't wait to give the disc a spin!!

The computer graphics are primitive by today's standards -- though state of the art at the time -- but it's a great story, with humor, suspense, great actors and just a lot of fun.

This is an old movie that I watched a long time ago,I was browsing Bestbuy online and came across this blu ray edition and for the price I bought it ,

I was able to share this movie with my kids after loving it as a teenager! The CGI by today’s standards is more like that found in a cinematic (or pre-render) that Director’s use, but the story is awesome! :) THE Blu-Ray is OK with not a lot of extras, tho.

I remember seeing this in the Theaters as my second film of the day. I had Just seen, "The Never-ending Story in a Freezing Theater. so I needed to warm up, so I saw this. and Loved it!!

I have always liked this movie; Robert Preston's final performance is fun. Good movie for the whole family; just be ready to answer questions about "old-time" video games. Worth the price!

Loved this movie as a kid and I am now introducing my kids to some of the great films from my day! My son love it and has watched it a few times since.

Was a favorite of my husband's and he requested we add it to our library. Still as good as ever.
