I cry everytime i watch this movie. It is the best of everything. family movie, tear jerker, great storyline, movie flows, never dull and the ending is timeless and flawless. i love how the movie used all polynesian actors and filmed onsite. the different is locations were breathtaking. there are too many scenes that i could name as my favorite. the man that plays peio the druken depressed father should have received an award for his ending scene. there is something for everyone to relate to in this movie and i make it a point to watch it with my children often. i loaned it to a friend and their family watched it 40 or so times over a 3 month period. it covers everything from emotional abuse, slavery, love, lessons learned, triumph, hope, lost love, lasting love and forgiveness. a must have. 2 of my children are half hawaiian and they feel so much pride when they watch this movie.

This movie is the cutest movie ever! Great family flick! I highly recommend to anyone needing a good clean movie.
