Not much to say that hasn't been said by the entirety of the internet. This and Mario are most likely the reason you bought a Switch!

Zelda Breath of the Wild is an extremely well-thought out and fun-filled game. Unfortunately, I have had little experience with previous Zelda games, but as a newcomer, this game is like nothing I have played in years. The story-line is good, side quests are engaging, and there is enough adventure and challenges from additional shrines, korok seed puzzles, etc. to keep you entertained for hundreds of hours. Overall I would say Nintendo knocked this one out of the park, and would be surprised if this does not win Game of the Year.

Stunning sums it up. Imagine being able to move throughout the map of this massive iteration of Hyrule with absolutely zero load times. Gameplay is perfect with exploits galore as you learn new techniques. Story is lacking overall as most reviews will point out, however I make up my own story for Link as he moves from each imposing environment. This is an experience for the ages.
An awesome game for RPG fans and Zelda fans alike!

I've always been a fan of Zelda, but I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64, thus Ocarina of Time being the last game I played in the series. BOTW is astonishing. It's so good that you can just get drunk with exploration. I've yet to finish it, but I know I'll easily put 200+ hours into this. For me, it's easily comparable to Skyrim in terms of how great the open world truly is. If you have a Switch and have not yet played this, do yourself a favor and get it.

What else can I say about this game - I am playing through for the 2nd time (first on Wii U) and it is probably the best game ever made. Especially in these horrible pandemic times, being able to spend a few hours roaming through this beautiful immersive landscape and get away from it all is very therapeutic. I really hope they nail BOTW2 when it comes out, or make Ocarina of Time with this game engine.

I find myself jumping back and forth between this and Skyrim. Zelda has way better physics anywhere from catching wooden objects on fire to cutting down trees and even harvesting apples. Here’s a fun trick cut down a tree push it down hill and light it on fire . There’s so many awesome ways to use the environment against your enemies. My only gripe is similar to older fallout games weapons do have a durability. Fortunately weapons are plentiful and you can even take them from your enemies.

This game has more detail and overall thought put into it than anything I've ever encountered before in the Zelda family of games. There are limitless things that can be done...there is no direct path and its an open world for endless adventure. If you are even good enough to get to the end of the game...there are DLC packs that nintendo has come out with to bring the game experience and difficulty to an even higher level. Comparing with Mario64 which is the greatest game of all time...this is a very very close second.

I bought this after hearing very good comments from a friend of mine. So I bought the nintendo switch and this game and I can tell you without a doubt, this is one of the best game I've ever played. I am not a pro gamer but I have played a plenty of video games in xbox one and ps4 so I can tell you this with total confidence. The game is a gem. If you are not sure about purchasing this product I can tell you this will give you several hours of entertainment (I've played this video game for more than 120 hours).

I was on the fence about this for a long time, mostly because it was so expensive and I'm pretty tight with my money. Finally bought it and, wow, this really is as good as advertised. Almost too good. Like the way I've heard people describe what it's like to take opioids is how I feel when I play this. Entire hours go by, so be careful. But if you're looking for a good game to buy, it won't be wasted if you buy this.
