I've been a casual Zelda player (mostly playing my friends' games) so this is the first Zelda game I've ever owned. Wow. It's incredible. The world is *massive*. It's truly an open-world experience with dozens of beautiful, engaging locations to visit. The visuals are really stunning. The change from day to night; rainy to sunny are really quite breathtaking. It can get repetitive and it's a definite grind especially if you stave off completing the main quest, especially where the shrines are concerned. The gameplay itself is fairly straightforward. Combat can be challenging, but the real kicker are the shrine quests. Par for the course with Zelda games, there was a lot of YouTube involved with a good chunk of shrine quests.

The ability to look in any direction and know you can adventure to anywhere you desire is wondeful and addicting. The art style is beautiful, music excellent, and the climbing/gliding make wandering the best part of the game! The weather, movement of flora and water/wind were beautiful. Just buy it, close your eyes, and wake up 80 hours later!

The adventures are boundless with this open world format! Climb the highest mountain or cross the vastest sea or plain. If you see it then it is within your reach. Interact with a host of new characters as you help them with side quests to earn extra rewards. The possibilities are endless!

I got this game for my 10 year olds Birthday. It is fantastic. He loves it to the point his gets his home work and chores done quickly so he can earn more game time. Additionally he can pause the game, join us for family dinner and day planning for the next day without loosing his place in the game.
Personally I don't play games but this has been good for my youngest child and out family.

Amazing game 10/10. So much to do, detail in every part of the giant map. Very long game if you 100% it, (which isnt tedious or boring like some open world games). You can run past everything and focus on the main story, or slow down and adventure and search every rock. Top 3 zelda games, possibly top 1.

Link and the Legend of Zelda has been awesome since the NES and this takes it to a whole other level. The game is huge and multi-dimensional. Not only do you get to explore Hyrule as you want, you get to hunt and cook your own food. The graphics are great and it's totally wicked to see Link walking around with a sword, shield and bow on his back and he can pull any of it out with the push of a button. DON'T MISS THIS!

I really can't say anything different than what is being said about this game that hasn't been said already. It really is that good. The game just keeps on surprising me. I am honestly amazed of what and the amount that was put in the little cartridge. It's just soooo different of a game what has been made before. But very familiar. A Masterpiece. Do you and me a favor buy it if for some reason you didn't when you bought the Switch.

Best open world game out there, way better than those unreal engine open world games from PS5 that all look the same. After buying a switch and playing botw I realized that gameplay is way more important than graphics.

I’m not really a huge fan of Zelda series, but I will try to give this game a fair review. As the title of the game states, you control Link, the main character, around in wilderness. This time around, dungeons are more like side missions to get simple upgrade for your character. It’s like Nintendo is following Squarenix’s footstep. When Squarenix released Tomb Raider few years ago, tombs were more like side show, not main focus of the game. Not a really good example to follow, in my opinion.
I give this game 3 stars because:
- It is first open world game from Nintendo, if I’m not mistaken.
- it has good graphics for a semi portable game system.
If you are fan of classic Zelda game, prepare to be disappointed.

I have really been enjoying Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! The storytelling is great, the graphics look amazing on the Switch, and the gameplay deviates from other LOZ games in a great way. Many have been giving Nintendo a hard time for lack of content on the Switch, but BOTW has kept me busy enough not to miss that. I would definitely recommend this be their first game for the Switch, or if you have a Wii U definitely get it!

I have to say it - I've played all the Zelda games on just about every platform and Breath of the Wild is THE best Zelda release on any platform. The freedom to approach any mission, activity, shrine, what-have-you, is simply amazing. The game world is huge, yet intricate. I've already spent close to 40 hours in the game and still seems like I haven't even dented the story or the depth of activities in this game. Highly recommended!

Zelda is back and in between my hands. Sure is a great feeling being able to relax wherever I want and play a console grade Zelda game.
He game is excellent, except the annoying gyro-control based puzzles. Those are annoying hard to maneuver. There are a lot of changes to the standard Zelda model with this title, most notably the open world and the destructible weapons.
It took forever to come out, but the wait was worth it!
