Highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a quality exclusive on the Nintendo Switch. The game has tons of replay value and will last a long time after beating the initial campaign. This game reinvents the Zelda franchise with a quite literal breath of fresh air as it introduces an open world experience. Gone are the days of linear Zelda games, now you can free roam and fight Ganon from the start of the game, although you will not get too far. Cannot recommend this game enough, and with the GCU membership, the savings are a huge plus.

Guys, this game is amazing, it has Zelda aspects for sure but they tied in a ton of great stuff to update the series, there is a endless supply of weapons laying around, stealth, stamina for new aspects of the game, and so many open world possibilities. Ever been absolutely demolished by a Cucco? Well grab one of those guys from a farm and take it to a boss type you're having Trouble with and BAM Cucco attack on bad guy. Magnet magic, ice pillars, unlimited bomb magic (reload time though) etc. etc. do whatever you want whenever you want. It's incredible

I know a lot of gamers are probably about to come at me, but BOTW is by far the best game I’ve ever played, especially on the Switch. I bought it on sale, but definitely think it’s worth the full price and I’d willing honestly even pay more. It’s an immersive experience that pulls you in and you can easily play for hours without even realizing it. 10/10 would recommend. Can hardly wait for the sequel next year!!

The first hour or two are a bit of a chore but you're soon shocked and awed by the scale of this game. It is huge. It also starts off a tad difficult and there's a substantial initial learning curve for a Nintendo game but it is incredibly refreshing. I'm about a dozen or so hours in and very much enjoying myself. Easily my favorite Zelda yet but it can't be appreciated without having played a few of the previous titles. Lots of references and call-backs to previous games but I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. The game's not without its flaws however. I'm a little underwhelmed by the lack of variety in the "shrines" and enemies in the open. "Shrines" replace the temples of yore; instead you're challenged by a large number of smaller dungeons that contain a puzzle or two or a one-on-one with a very difficult enemy. Still fun but I can't help missing the old temples. The shrines are a good challenge and the smaller format works well with the portability of the Nintendo Switch since you can take the game in little bites despite the huge overall size. Other complaints are the voice acting not being the best and also being limited just to story segments. So the latter may actually be a blessing but it's still a disappointment coming from other games. Overall it's pretty darn good and highly recommended.

One of the best launch titles ever. I have this game for the WiiU and my son wanted to play it on his Switch. After watching him play it and become so immersed in the game, I couldn't help myself and decided to play through it again. This game just sucks you in and the freedom you have while playing makes no two play throughs the same. If you have not yet played this game, or haven't in a while, you need to pick it up.

Many of the aspects of this game, e.g., jumping, climbing, open world elements, aren't new or revolutionary concepts in gaming. Yet, Nintendo has found a way to incorporate these elements into Zelda in a way that transforms the game into something completely new, yet also very familiar.
I do wish they had kept the massive dungeons that were in the previous 3D Zelda games, however. I don't see that as mutually exclusive with the nonlinear spirit of this game, but maybe Nintendo has something in store for us down the road.
