One of the best games i have ever played. Game play is addicting. Always something new to explore. Mass weapons and gear! Pure gaming enjoyment

I was never a huge fan of the "openness" of Ocarina, nor of the non-linear dungeon order of Link Between Worlds, which just made the dungeons flat and lifeless. But Breath of the Wild unlocks the true potential of these concepts, proving that the details make all the difference in the world. This is an open world brimming with personality, and a level design that gives complete freedom while still affording a genuine sense of progression (as you roam the world, you'll find equipment that is better in ways beyond mere offense/defense points).

Amazing quality game. A Zelda game from Nintendo being amazing is hardly a surprise but this is a really great experience.
Gameplay is fantastic. Link moves fairly well for a Nintendo full 3D title. Horse mechanics are a little clumsy but the rest of the controls work well.
There are some challenging parts that require you to think or talk to the in game characters for hints of where to go.
Story is mediocre. But the gameplay is fantastic and they tell the story well, it just requires a powerful suspension of disbelief.

It is a refreshing take on the Zelda formula. It says a lot that my wife, someone who wouldn't normally play a Zelda game, played it from start to finish. She even wanted to do all the side quests and find all the shrines. You can pretty much go anywhere from the get go, and do anything in whatever order you want. It still retains a lot of the classic Zelda themes and characters, which means if you liked the older games, you will like this one too. I highly recommend.

Completely immersive and the open world let's you travel anywhere in the map with a reasonable amount of difficulty. The only thing I didn't like is the weapons system where even the Master Sword has to be recharged. They should allow for an option that let's the user choose between weapons that wear down or the classic system where weapons remain useful as long as you carry them.

Well worth the wait, stands confidently next to the best Zelda's in the franchise. You'll feel the sense of wonderment just like you did when you played your very first Zelda, again and again. I was amazed by how much is really packed into this game.
Any critiques people give this game really boil down to players personal preference. As a open world, this game is as near perfection as you can get. I haven't been this excited to get home and play since I played Dark Souls the first time.
Do yourself a favor and get your hands on this!

I've always been a fan of the Zelda franchise. I didn't think anything could de-throne my 90s fav of Link to the Past (though Twilight Princess came close). Breath of the Wild is so grand and daunting, that it feels like an actual adventure. There is so much you can do that I'm constantly being surprised. The only difficult part is setting the game down for a while to take a break. It pays homage to the previous titles while being completely unique to itself. It's the only reason I purchased the Switch. Well worth it.

This game has so much depth, and lets you tackle it however you want to. Gone are the typical dungeons however. In their place out “Shrines” which each offer an environment challenge, puzzle involving a single or multiple items, or a mini boss fight you may have found in any of the predecessors dungeon rooms. These are all scattered among a gigantic world that is completely unlocked for you to explore from the get-go. There seems to a plethora of side quests to keep you busy for quite some time as well. So far so good here!

By far one of the best video games out there. So many fun challenges, puzzles, and missions that will keep you busy for days… even weeks. I find it a tad bit difficult at times but my boyfriend is having a blast with it.

Another amazing Zelda game! It can get overwhelming with how open the world is, how weapons and shields break, but it is fun to explore! I’ve barely done much of the main storyline because there’s so much you can do!
