So to be clear, and I've never been a Zelda fan. Nothing against them, they've just never been my flavor. I bought this because i had to have the switch and it was the only logical launch game. Well i'm glad i bought it, because I am completely enthralled with it!! I must have close to if not more than 30 hours in so far and probably that many more to go by the looks of things. I head for an objective than get side tracked for hours!! do u love zelda, buy this game, honestly we know you already did. Don't love zelda? give it a shot anyway

Note: review based on first impression on first week owning. (10hours play).
I bought this because my kids are into Nintendo.I. thought they may like Zelda like I did as a kid.( I prefer PlayStation ) Anyways, the game is ok in that it allows you to wander anywhere you want much like many of the games today.( Batman, lord of the rings, fallout)
I think the most frustrating part of this game is that you continually have to replace your weapons because they break. I find this kind of annoying. (The constant short life and weapon replacement). It causes you to continually switch between screens to finish a simple raid on a camp of foes. I think they should have adapted a repair technique much like fallout games if they were going to have weapon breakdown. It Slows down your actual in game play time and causes a lot of running and return attacks. (Maybe there is a technique you can cook up to help weapons last longer???) Still annoying and why I gave it 4 stars.
Games ok for short term ,last resort ,entertainment. (For an adventure die hard.). They do have some cool features in it.

Bottom Line: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the best games on Nintendo Switch.
I played through Breath of the Wild a few years ago (and sold my original copy), but I needed an adventure game that was kid friendly enough to play with my daughter. BoW remains one of the best titles on Switch, with enough adventure and serious combat for gamers but also is fairly accessible for kids.

This is the best game I’ve played in Switch.
Amazing open world, well designed and you have every clue to follow were you should go.
Lots of challenges that you can conquer by using special abilities, and you need brainstorming about it.
Combat system also cool too, can be play like noob and can be play like pro, but you can still win the battle without being a pro.
I can use every word to praise the game, and still no enough.

It's Zelda meets GTA, so it's perfect. Almost too much game to play it I'm honest. Multiple times I've been sidetracked by a side quest to another side quest in a third inception side quest. You can play for hours, seeing something all together new and just get utterly lost in the world.
