The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is nothing short of a masterpiece. As a longtime Zelda fan, this game exceeded all my expectations and set a new standard for open-world exploration.
The vast and beautifully crafted world of Hyrule is a joy to explore, with every corner hiding secrets, challenges, and breathtaking views. The freedom to approach puzzles and enemies in any way you choose adds a level of immersion and creativity that is truly refreshing.
The storyline is captivating, weaving a tale of courage, discovery, and the battle against the encroaching darkness. The characters, both new and familiar, are well-developed, adding emotional depth to the journey.
The dynamic weather and day-night cycle, coupled with the intricate physics system, make every moment unique and unpredictable. Whether climbing a mountain, gliding over landscapes, or solving shrine puzzles, the gameplay is consistently engaging and rewarding.
The attention to detail in the graphics and sound design is impeccable, enhancing the overall atmospheric experience. The soundtrack is a masterpiece in itself, complementing the epic scale of the adventure.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is not just a game; it's an immersive journey that redefines the possibilities of gaming. It's a must-play for both Zelda enthusiasts and anyone looking for a truly epic and unforgettable gaming experience.

To say I’m OBSESSED with this game is an understatement! I’ve been thinking about getting it for years and just never did until now, and now I realize that I was missing out on one of the best Nintendo games ever. I’m over 50 hours in and have been having so much fun exploring, solving shrines, getting armor sets, finding Koroks etc that I’ve barely even started the main story, and there’s so much else to do too! I love open world games and this one does not disappoint whatsoever. Huge, gorgeous game with hours and hours of fun. I’m a Zelda fan for life now and I’m excited to try TOTK once I finish this one… but it’s looking like I’ll be hooked on BOTW for a long time to come!

Best Game I've Ever Played!

Best game I've ever played! The graphics are beautiful, the open-world storyline is amazing, the physics are *exquisite,* the characters are beautifully designed, and the music adds the cherry on top. It has a bit of lag in areas where there is a lot of movement going on at once, such as the deku tree forest, but otherwise, it runs smoothly. Overall, 100/10, I would sacrifice my soul to play this game for the first time again.

I'm an old school gamer going back to the 80's but have never owned a Nintendo or played any of the previous Zelda games so this is a fresh experience for me. I've only played in portable mode (not on the TV) and have only logged somewhere between 6-10 hours. This is a well crafted masterpiece in my opinion and has already earned a spot in my top 10 of all time. The world is a breath taking piece of artistry. I'm enjoying the story line and get a good chuckle out of some of the NPC interactions. There are plenty of tasks to strive for but there is also much comfort in just taking ones time, interacting with the environment and exploring the world at your own pace, making new discoveries.
I went in with pretty high expectations based on other reviews and I'm definitely not disappointed. I'm looking forward to taking my time with this one and enjoying every last drop.

alright so... when the switch was released, i found myself at my local best buy. there were a limited amount of consoles, and an even fewer amount of games. i saw the zelda game sitting there, and it was love at first sight, i think. my friend had been at his house and playing it and saying "courtney, this game is so LIT" so of course, i couldn't let him be LIT alone, so i was like 'ah heck, why not?' and made the purchase. and let me tell you, my inner child was so hAppY, you guys. the graphics are siCk, story is DOPE, and i'm more than satisfied. if any of you played previous zelda games, get this one. you won't regret it!

125 hours went by so fast. Never before have I gotten so lost in a video game world. The desire to keep playing, and playing and playing is unimaginable until you play and complete the opening sequence of the game yourself. I won't say much, simply because Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is THE best game I've ever played in my life. The Nintendo switch's portability made it impossible to put down. I played at work, on the toilet, at the park, on the plane, on the bus, in bed. Literally anywhere where I could use both hands. Just play it to believe it.

One of the greatest video games I've ever played. It redefines how 3D Zelda games are structured and what an open world game can be. I have played over 80hrs of this game and am still enjoying it. The game encourages and rewards exploration. There's always something new waiting right over that hill- might as well check it out right? The story is completely nonlinear so play at your own pace. The game is tough. You might run into enemies you're not equipped to handle at some point. You'll learn quickly enough what your limits are. The weapon inventory system could be somewhat more streamlined, but that's a minor complaint in a supreme quality game like this.

I decided to get BOTW before Tears of Kingdom to finally immerse myself in the world of Zelda and I am beyond impressed with this game. I love the thousands of minigames and the open world. The best game I’ve ever played!

What can I say that hasn't been said already? It's a classic for sure. Once you get off the Great Plateau you can go just about anywhere. Some locations require specific outfits but the game is so immersive you won't mind running around collecting stuff. One odd thing about this game is that it get easier as you play. Gaining health, stamina and cooked dishes make you stronger and more capable. When you get started avoid conflict until you get some gear and hearts together, you'll be rocking the enemies before you know it. Level up your armor as soon as you can.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best game I have played. It's an open world for players to explore and there are lots of surprises during the adventure. The scene in the game is very beautiful and I usually climb to the summit to enjoy the sunset. Besides, the weather also changes in the game and the NPC react like real people. It's really interesting.
So, don't be restricted to the game plot. The player is just "Link" exploring the unknown world. So excited!!

Complete departure from the series...

The new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild is a complete departure from what we know The Legend of Zelda series to be...and I LOVE it. Although the story can be characterized as straight forward and a little thin. What really makes this game a masterpiece is the way Nintendo ha successfully and elegantly introduced many very sophisticated game play systems within this large immersive world. Typically large open word games struggle with having a vast world but not much substance or personality to fill it with to make it feel full and robust. That is not the case with BotW, each new area has its own character and the game looks absolutely gorgeous on both the vibrant handheld screen and also on my 65" sony UHD TV when docked.
The areas in this world are also really impressive. From jungles to deserts to open plains and beaches to snowy mountain tops. I have easily spent 70+ hours exploring this re-imagination of Hyrule and I feel as if I can still spend another 70+ continuing those explorations.
One of the best launch games ever, and in my case one of my top 3 favorite games of all time.
Well done Nintendo, look forward to the continued DLC and what lies ahead for the Legend of Zelda franchise.

I was very hesitant to get this game because I thought it was going to be a slow paced boring open world game, especially not knowing what I was getting into. Guys, if you’re looking for a game to spend hours on and fly through the day, this is it, this game does not stop throwing surprises at you not knowing they would be there, this game is filled with beautiful aesthetics, a compelling beautiful story, incredible combat system and one of the most realistic games when it comes to freedom. Definitely recommend!!!!!

There's the main story quest, but also players are allowed to free roam and go after side quests and find hidden items. I've had this for a week and already have put in hours and hours of gameplay, which is probably just a fraction of what the total hours will be once I'm done. There is a lot to do. Some bosses are difficult, but not impossible.

lf you answered yes to any of these questions then I think you would really enjoy the Legend of Zelda breath of the wild.

Game is more than I expected. The open world is Huge beyond imagination. And the attention to detail throughout... butterflies and lizards... even fireflies. Birds from seagull to eagles. I think jintendo did a fabulous job in designing. Had to have taken forever.

To start off it’s zelda. So you basically already know it’s gonna be fun. But then it throws in this strange mix of Skyrim with its open world and portal with its shrine travels and together it’s just incredibly hard to put down.

So far so good, still currently playing through the game as I write this review. If you're a fan of the Zelda series then you'll of course love this new entry. Cons being your weapons constantly breaking & having to find new ones & at times wandering aimlessly around to get to your next objective in their new Open World system they embraced. Longtime fans may miss the more objective based adventure style, complete with steady progression, particularly your heart containers expansion, whereas in this game you can play for HOURS & still be stuck at your original 3 hearts & beginning weapons, LONGING for faster progression. Overall great entry to the long running series, will probably still be playing it/stuck trying to complete it til the next entry comes out
