I think I must have fully played the original Link’s Awakening on the Game Boy about a dozen times or more as a kid. I loved that game. And this new version is even better. The art style is fantastic. If Breath of the Wild seem too daunting or gigantic, Link’s Awakening should be a more welcome and relaxing play-through. But the addition of a hard mode will still challenge more seasoned players.

Built in a very nostalgic way, with lots of fun little quests very similar to the first Nintendo ones. Finished the game multiple times already!!

This charming remake is a visual delight. Its concise, classic Zelda adventure is packed with personality and a surprisingly poignant heart. A must-play, dreamlike gem.

I never played the original game on the Game Boy and was excited to play this old school top down adventure. It did not disappoint. It reminded me a lot of A Link to the Past but quirky and different. My only complaint would be there was some lag and slow down in the game at times when too many enemies were on the screen. But overall a super fun and smile-inducing game.

I used to play the heck out of this on the original Game Boy, and I remember it being SO hard but then again I was like 8 years old. Coming back to this game totally remade I was having flash backs. It was reliving my 8 year old self and remembering all of those puzzles that frustrated me. This is a great game for any Zelda fan!

I love this remastered game. Has classic Legend of Zelda music and elements with a modern twist. Alot of Super Mario cameos as well.

Very fun Zelda game for the Switch; the remake holds up to the original, and improves upon it greatly to make it perfect for Link's Awakening veterans and new fans alike, with gorgeous graphical design and an outstanding soundtrack making it amazing despite some minor performance hiccups. Highly recommended overall.

Sure there are frame drops at points, but they weren't overbearing or make the experience lose its charm. I recall playing the original on the first gameboy, and I would say this upgrade is amazing. Well worth the money and really love the graphics for it. A must own for sure.

Older generation Nintendo players will know Link's Awakening from the original Gameboy. This is an awesome remake that brings yet another unique art style to the Zelda franchise. Best of all, both older and younger players will appreciate this epic game for the Switch!

This game was fun on the gb... I'm old enough to know for real! What a tremendous job Nintendo did to breathe new life into an already amazing adventure. The graphics are beyond beautiful and the rewritten musical scores will have you tapping your toes and humming them.

I have so much fun with it. Great zelda game as old school style.

10/10 everything is all the game needs to be. I didn’t expect it to be this amazing but I was more than impressed. The 2d graphics mixed with the little 3d make it superb.

Great Game. My first time playing a Zelda game outside of tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild. And i love it. Never played the original version and im really happy with this version

...if a bit short and overpriced. Don't get me wrong, this is the DEFINITIVE way to play this class Zelda title. The quality of life improves to gameplay, the reimagined soundtrack, and the wonderfully charming art style all feel right at home. However, the comparatively short length, lack of side objectives, or post-game content, make this a hard sell at $60. If you're a hardcore Zelda fan, chances are you've already bought this game. However, if you're on the fence, wait for a sub-$40 price point.

I’m glad I picked up links awakening I love the cute art style,,,, I enjoy it’s game play even if it’s a lil easy, but it really is a game for all ages~ But what I like most is how easily I lose track of time when playing^^

1993 was a very long time ago so I welcomed this remake. Link of course looks different but the top-down gameplay is all that matters. Solid remake.
