Mathew McConaughey plays Mickey Haller, "The Lincoln Lawyer" which is derived from the fact that Haller has had his driver's license suspended and is forced be chauffeured around in his Lincoln. Haller is clever and charming with stern moral center and prides himself for his legal prowess. However, his legal and moral believes are tested when he's hired to defend a young clean-cut man from a wealthy family against some very serious crimes including attempted murder. Despite the client's convincing alibi, Haller soon suspects that his client might actually be guilty and even worse, that he may be guilty of a another crime for which one of Haller's former clients is now serving time for. It quickly becomes a cat and mouse game as Haller is forced to defend client despite his personal feelings and suspicions and after suffering a terrible personal loss. Ryan Philippe plays the client and is joined by Academy winner Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy, Frances Fisher and others. It has a little humor and many twists.

Very good video quality and 7.1 lossless audio track. McConaughey does more than show up to look good. For me, this was the film he stopped relying on his looks and started turning in fine acting performances. After Lawyer McConaughey started taking on smaller films with more demanding roles like, Killer Joe, Mud, Dallas Buyers Club, and HBO's True Detective. This is a solid outing by McConaughey and fun movie to watch.

I had already seen this movie prior to purchasing the Blu-ray DVD. It was on sale at a great price and included a digital copy for me to add to my Vudu account. The acting is very good and there are some plot twists and turns that I won't give away. While not quite a family movie, it is good for 13 and older.

The LINCOLN LAWYER is a crime/mystery flick with good acting and a nice pace. Matthew M does a great job in the role as a lawyer who is bothered by an event in his past that sets him on a path to do the right thing in a murder mystery he is trying to solve.

An upscaled-to-4K release. Nevertheless, the results are quite impressive. Previous 1080p transfer stands apart as one of the finer on its format, yielding remarkable balance of detail and color with outstanding clarity as the hallmarks

Well written screenplay that keeps you interested and engaged from start to finish. Better than good acting by Matthew.

The Lincold Lawyer is one of Matthew McConaughey's best performances. Ryan PHillipe is equally tremendous.

Interesting plot, for sure. Mathew is superb! Ryan Philippe is such a baddy in this movie. Always great performances form Marisa Tomei and Frances Fisher. Such a wonderful cast! Mathew's office was his LINCOLN car--novel idea.

Great movie... saw it on TV and just had to purchase it to see it in 4K. Great price for the 4K dvd.

This is another great movie based on a Michael Connelly book. I've watched this movie at least three times so far. I never get tired of it. Wish they would make more movies like this based on his many great books. I've read them all.

Great movie in updated format. Story about a lawyer who does things his why, while being chauffeured around in an old Lincoln sedan.

I purchased this film to deepen my 4K collection of films. Looks even better than blu ray plus I'm a MM fan anyways. Win Win!.....or should I say "Well alright alright alright!"

The movie was excellent. I loved how Matthew played his character role. Ryan Philipe was good and convincing as a manipulative and cunning killer,unexpected from prior roles. Enjoyable to watch!

Nothing groundbreaking of this courtroom drama but the excellent performance by Matthew McConaughey help the story to move along. Good bluray transfer and few nice featurettes

Trace Atkins will surprise people and of course William H. Macy and of course Bryan Cranston are all in this to support McCaugnahey who's is just one of our best actors

Great film for McConaughey. Excellent story, great cast, great acting. Story builds at a terrific pace until the conclusion of the film. As conclusions go, I give it a 9 out of 10.

very good movie, lot of plot twists. good characters overall . this is one you will play a few times. now if i could only figure out who to put in next lincoln commercial.
