Im a huge 007 fan and now all 007's are on single bluray so another one to help finish my collection without having to buy the box set and get duplicates.

This bond shows how keen everyone on this project wanted it to say that this was a fresh start, but still show this is still a Bond film.

I got this because I didn't think that Timothy Dalton wasn't that bad a Bond, but for the most part this was one of the worse Bond movies of the series!

I think that "The Living Daylights" was once again one of the greatest classic James Bond films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films of all-time. I've been a fan of the entire James Bond film series and I also think that "The Living Daylights" had a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, mystery, suspense and drama including a really great and amazing cast, plot and personal storylines as well.

Timothy Dalton's first James Bond movie

THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS was Timothy Dalton's first James Bond movie starring Timothy Dalton who replaced the retired Roger Moore. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is the better of Dalton's two Bond movies. Dalton was an adequate 007, but he lacks the charisma of Sean Connery and Roger Moore. The Bond Girl is Maryam d'Abowho is perhaps the blandest Bond Girl in the series. The Bond Villains are Jeroen Krabbe (THE FUGITIVE) and Joe Don Baker who later played James Bond's CIA ally in GOLDENEYE and TOMORROW NEVER DIES.
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is the last Bond movie scored by Oscar-winner John Barry who has a cameo as the symphony conductor at the end of the movie.
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS isn't the best of the Bond movies, but it's far from the worst, so it's a good addition to the Bond collection simply to watch Dalton in the role for the first time.

Bond Has Returned!

This is Timothy Dalton's first Bond movie, and his second best. However, he only made 2! It has a great script, plot, and location (Afghanistan). However, it just doesn't have the "WOW" factor like Timothy Dalton's next Bond film does. However, it still in the top 15 best Bond films of all-time! You should buy this!!

Both this movie and Timothy Dalton as 007 are underrated. Dalton gives an excellent performance as a more harder edged 007. If you like the Daniel Craig ones you should like this one.

Great spy movie period! Movie viewers might not recognize the tone in this movie because it is more in tune with the novels. Very good story to boot. Picture quality is well above average.

watchable but routine

Timothy Dalton's first turn as 007 is a standard Cold War thriller, but nothing more. The villains are fine, as are the action set pieces, but Dalton is a bit too serious. Having Bond become a more serious figure is one thing, but that doesn't mean sacrificing his sense of humor.

While Timothy Dalton wasnt a bond for very long, this is one of the few that completely screams 80s.
