The Lone Gunmen are great characters, but when they added Yves and Jimmy it was ruined. Yves was blah & couldn't act basically they overplayed the sex appeal angle, while Jimmy played the stupid one. And, WHY did they have the "stupid" one involved important projects. I don't know why they picked these people or made them moronic but if they had a better supporting cast it could have been so much better. The Lone Gunmen are funny, computer wizards who love to dig into conspiracies and find out the truth for the American people. They were perfect in X-files but this show didn't work. There were a few episodes that were good but most just needed help. It was an injustice to these guys. I wish Mulder and Scully could have been in several episodes.

If you are reading this review then you are an X Files fan. This is hands down one of the best science fiction series out there, I was sad when the series ended. I purchased all 9 seasons on DVD and very happy with the series on DVD with one complaint, the inability to watch each show consecutively. Currently, when an episode ends, I have to select the next one and click play, I don’t know what they were thinking when they created these DVD’s but they are all like this. I want to be able to click play and watch the all episodes on the DVD without being prompted click play just to watch the next episode.

Mulder's back, Scully's baby (William) becomes a part of the cast, and John Doggett remains Scully's partner in a great end to one of TV's best Sci Fi series. There's plenty of unanswered questions early in the season that the trio attempt to unravel. Super Soldiers, shape shifters, and a lot of questions about the effect of aliens in government conspiracies. Most fans will enjoy this season as those aforementioned unanswered questions start to make sense.

X-files is a really entertaining sci-fi drama, with conspiracies, aliens, government coverups, monsters, phenomena, a nice gamut of material. The characters are both likeable with their own sets of flaws that put them on opposite sides of the argument most times. For me this entire series is a must own. Buy the seasons separately and you will save $90 to $120 vs the price of the box set, which is completely identical except is has a box. Season 9 isn't bad, since Mulder is back for part of it. and it ties off some long running storylines which makes it essential.

I think that "The X-Files: The Complete Ninth Season" was one of the greatest series of all-time and it was also one of my favorite series of all-time. I really enjoyed all of the action, mystery, suspense, drama and horror that kept this series very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "The X-Files: The Complete Ninth Season" had a really great and amazing cast, plots and personal storylines as well.

I love everything about The X-Files. Some might get down on the later seasons, but the story lines (even without Mulder present) were clever and kept me interested in the long game of the main conspiracy. Plus, Doggett was a pretty great character. This HD, Blu-Ray version is remarkable - I've found yet another reason to love the series. Much thanks to FOX for finally releasing it.

Season 9 was supposed to be the final season of the X Files (but now we are watching season 10 14 years later) and it tried to wrap up some of the conspiracies that have lingered for years. We see what happens to Baby William (which plays a big part in new series) and we see why the AZTEC calendar really ends the way it does. Gotta watch to be ready for new season.

Picked up the individual seasons on sale at Best Buy. Being an owner of the DVD version of the series, it's AMAZING the transfer to Blu Ray. Almost felt new watching the series again in the format. If you grew up loving the X-Files, pick up the Blu Ray versions of the season...definitely worth the money!

The GOAT of TV series in my opinion. Sure, like most things it tailed off in the end but that does not take away from the greatness of the first several seasons (this one included). Definite upgrade over the DVDs.

Interesting spin-off but the characters and stories were not that good

After the eighth season finale "Existence", Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) goes into hiding. Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) is again reassigned to the FBI Academy, and Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish) becomes John Doggett's (Robert Patrick) new FBI partner in the X-Files office.

In a world of cookie cutter entertainments, The X-Files was largely sui generis and continues to be one of the more distinctive entries in series television of the past couple of decades. will keep you knee high (or higher) in conspiracy theory.comes Highly recommended.

I like the final season of "The X-Files" even if (or perhaps because) Mulder isn't around to pull me out of the stories. The visuals on the Blu-ray are gorgeous, a big improvement over the pretty good DVD release, and most of the extras are carried over, so picking up the Blu-ray for a mere $10 is definitely worth the small investment.

This is a great classic drama movie with a twist of Sci-Fi thrown in for good measure. Classic Mulder and Scully interaction. Makes the TV seem even more real today with so much Government cover-ups going on. Maybe not so much the "Little Green Men" part.

Seriously Best Buy had all of the seasons of the X-Files on Blu-Ray on sale for $9.99. That is ridiculously cheap. They were out of most so I ordered them from my tablet as soon as I got in my car, a big thank you to Best Buy for living up to their name.

As I said about season eight, it gets a little better with season nine. I just wish Mulder was in at least half of the season not just the end. As a huge fan I could only recommend this and season eight if you are true fan's.

I personally do not feel too excited about the story line in season 9, and I think the show reaches its limit. For the sake of completion, I am happy to buy this one - it does provide surprises and more actions from time to time. Not the X-files you remember but still quite entertaining.

Excellent picture and sound for the age of the Series.Looks fantastic in HD with the occasional soft spots through out.Sound is amazing DTS HD Master Audio 5.1. The theme has a very low end bass 10 out of10!

'The X-Files' goes out in high dramatic fashion with a season of highs and lows for Scully & Mulder. These discs provide all the episodes in great quality and lots of bonus features to keep you entertained!
