Disney's The Lone Ranger is easily one of the most overlooked films in the last decade. It's been lambasted for a slew of reasons that are not the most fair when the film is looked at objectively. The perpetually shifting tone & overall length of the film are the only fair criticisms, in my opinion. Other than that, this film is a fun summer blockbuster that brings you back to the West in a way only a Disney $250 million budget film can. Highly Recommended! Pick up a copy today!

A very entertaining, action packed film. Be sure to watch the bonus feature about the creation of the railroad and who built it; especially if you don't normally watch the bonus materials. The bloopers are also worth taking the time to view. The critics were much too harsh in their reviews although I doubt there will be a sequel.

Being a baby boomer, I grew up with the television version of Lone Ranger so it took a bit to adjust to the comedic overtones of the film when the original show was a serious application of right over wrong with simple justice always achieved, and without anyone acting the dolt. But for the Depp fan, this is entertaining.

Beautiful cinematography! This film was panned by a lot of critics and fans alike but I thought it was pretty good! I went in expecting to hate it but it was a lot of fun. I'm a fan of the original tv series and cartoon so I was a little disappointed in the Tonto character played by Johnny Depp but it was still fun.

This is not the serious look at the Lone Ranger that the TV show with Clayton Moore had. It has a lighter touch, is somewhat campy, but is also very enjoyable. It also goes more into Tonto's background plus the ending is absolutely incredible and somewhat hilarious. Performances are good.

I was definitely satisfied with this film. While Armie Hammer started his role in a more disappointing comedic turn, as he began to accept his destiny, the portrayal became more of the iconic and heroic character we have come to embrace. A tip of the white hat for this film.

Was not expecting much from this movies after its poor showing in theaters and not so glowing reviews, however after seeing it at a friends house we thought the movie was well worth investing in. Funny, exciting, and well acted glad we purchased this movie to keep in our collection!

A Fun and interesting twist on characters and stories many of us no so well but haven't seen on the big screen like this before. Johnny Depp is great as usual and this has the fun of a Pirates of the Caribbean without going over the top. Armie Hammer is OK, better than I expected. The story is fantastic. This movie did not get near the credit it was due. I saw a prescreening of the movie and the audience applauded it. I wished my grand father had been around to see this because I think he'd have loved it too.

I was diying for this to come out on blu-ray, finally came and I watch it over and over and don't get tired of it, I don't see johny deep as a second caracther on it, to me he is the center of attention in the whole movie, but DVD extras did not show it that way, but still great movie

The Lone Ranger is an entertaining comedy drama. Johnny Depp is great as Tonto. The special effects are just Tremendous! I was blown away at someone actually riding a horse on a moving train. The fact that all that action taking place on an actual moving train is some thing else.

This movie was so much fun for any age range. If you grew up watching The Lone Ranger TV show, grew up watching westerns, or just like Johnny Depp, you are probably really going to like this movie. The movie even incoporates a chase scene that sounds and feels like what I recall seeing in The Lone Ranger show. Most will say it is a western Pirates of the Caribbean, which being Disney and having JD it could have that feel, but that's not bad to me any way you cut it.

I grew up watching The Lone Ranger on TV with my dad. We even went & saw the 80's movie. This version was pretty good, Johnny Depp as Tonto was really good. The Storyline needed a little help though. Overall I liked this Film, but could've been better in some aspects.

The Lone Ranger that I remember was the Western equivalent of Superman; invincible and inspiring. Unfortunately, Disney tried copying the premise of the Pirates movies and employing the accidental hero (Jack Sparrow) strategy. While that plot device worked for Pirates, it does not work here. The Lone Ranger bumbling through the first half of the movie is not what I expected. Johnny Depp as Tonto is also not strong. It is not until the end of the movie does the Lone Ranger come close to hero of early television. Despite all this, I was looking forward to the deleted scenes reel. This was a major disappointment as one of the scenes was not even done by real actors, but computer generated to show what the scene might have looked like.

So this movie is not as bad as everyone says it is. It's a popcorn adventure movie with great action scenes. Johnny Depp as a mystical Native American was kind of weird. Got a good price for it though.

I really wasn't into the Long Ranger stories or tv series that was shown in past. But, this movie was actually surprisingly good, especially if you know nothing about previous stories. Definitely, a good western story with a good western feel!

The critic reviews were a bit harsh on this fun flick. This movie isn't designed to win Oscars or a high predigree, it's made for people to turn off their minds and have fun. It does, however, have some of the best stunt jobs I've seen in recent memory

Great movie. Fun and entertaining for all ages. Johhny Depp plays a different Tonto than you're used to (if you've seen the original). Lot's of comedy. If you are a big fan of the original Lone Ranger you may not enjoy it as much. Great cinimatics.

We watched this with my in laws, and all of us enjoyed it. Nothing embarrassing, and reminiscent of old westerns, so appealed to older family members. There is some violence, but generally a wholesome movie. Loved Johnny depp's performance.

This movie is just awesome, it is NOT like the original show, there are so many laughs, a l8t of action, some tom-foolery. Tonto's character is telling the story, and his character is just amazingly portrayed, and only asJohnny Depp could do him, just a hoot and a whole lot of fun! If you are old eno6gh to remember the show, youbwill LOVE it!

This film is not nearly as bad as a lot of critics made it out to be. It is at least as good as the last couple of Pirates films. I am not saying that it should win any awards, but I was at least able to stay entertained throughout.
