Very information movie about the D Day landing at Normandy. Both sides were featured and seemed to be factually accurate. Several stars with brief appearances. One I’ll watch again.

AN ALL-STAR CAST LEADS THE CHARGE! SEE THIS HISTORIC EVENT FROM BOTH SIDES! THRE WERE MANY BATTLES IN THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM BUT THERE WAS ONLY ONE, "LONGEST DAY"!!!

Many, many stars in this film! It isn't just the Normandy landing but what happens behind the front. Told from the Allied and German perspectives. It's black and white but that doesn't matter because there is action throughout.

All-Star group of actors and is very faithful to the events that occurred in WW 2. Not as graphic as Saving Private Ryan, but a great film on its own!! The black and white style adds to the feeling of history!

This is a truly great movie , I had seen this when I was a teenager and I knew I had to own it when I saw it on the shelf at best buy. A movie with great scenes and allot of battle action plus a great story.

This is an old movie (circa 1960s) that is a "must see" for everyone. The collectors edition was for my wife. This movie and "Patton" are films to live on and on bringing perspective to generations to come.

100% worth every penny to buy. John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum, how can you go wrong?? Best WW2 movie ever. German acting was also very good and this was very realistic. I would recommend this film to any fan of the old school actors.

This movie is one of my favorites, and a classic. It seems like they gave every male actor of age at the time a part in that movie. At points, all those actors wanting face time detract from the movie, but not much. Well done.

The Longest Day is the best ww2 movie of all time, right in line w/ Cornelius' book. Would love to see a remake w/ todays technology that is only on the events of the day (unlike a Saving Ryan) - must see for any ww2 fan

This was a replacement for a vhs version of mine. There are certain scenes that I look forward to seeing. The expression on the German officers face when he saw the armada coming into view is an example.

I try to watch the movie every year on its anniversary date. It’s a wonderful perspective of historical event and something we should never forget. Especially, today.

This is a pretty good depiction of the story of Omaha Beach and Utah Beach in WW2 and should be a story not forgotten, only one better or more graphic would be Saving Private Ryan or The thin Red Line

This is truly the epitome of the longest day in what will always be a truly historical brutal war . This is filled with great movie stars and the introduction of Sean Connery , pre-James Bond.

This is a movie about D Day and the many elements and different nationalities that fought alongside each other during the invasion of France on 6 June 1944 in the greatest armada ever put together in the history of man.

A great book and a great movie. A look at a page of history that is sometimes forgotten when we deal with a partners in Europe. Too much time has passed and the current generation doesn't appreciate what took place that day.

One of the very best movies ever made. This epic film portrays events that happened on both sides (allied and German). Black and white photography lends a documentary-like impact when viewing it.

Film should be seen in high school for teens to see the cost of freedom. Would help those who want to serve to see the effort and the personal cost.

Classic movie with classic actors covering the landing of american troops on the beaches of Normandie. An epic movie that won't disappoint the most difficult of movie amateur.
