As enjoyable now as it was when I was a kid. These movies are child friendly and a nice way to introduce little ones to the stories. Some scenes seemed a little grainy but thats what you get when you take movies from the seventies and up-convert for big screen televisions. Bonus cartoons are cute. Buying them as a set on DVD instead of Bluray as individuals was a value choice on my part.

Loved it my son loved it. It's a stoy that has been told ages and will be told for ages. I feel this is part of the over collection for those who love the lords trilogy or any fantasy.

These are great. I never even realized some of the sound effects were on the movies until I finally got to see them on DVD (as opposed to VHS).

I watched the Hobbit years ago in school and wanted to get something different for my Lord of the Rings loving Daughter. This was a good buy.

Was great gift for my father who loves the Tolkien books and movies and thought it be great to replace his VHS recordings.

It was a Christmas present for a friend. He had mentioned the animated version. He was very happy.

I am slowly updating my video library, so replacing my VHS tapes with DVDs is the step towards total digital replacement

I wanted this because i remember watching the hobbit when i was a kid. it was ok but it was made for kids. the dvd are great and i am glad i own the set now.

Great cartoon, just the way I remember it from my childhood songs and all which were later spoofed by south park and the adventure of Lemmiwinks.

I picked this up for my grandmother whose VHS versions had been misplaced. The audiovisual quality was just fine for our purposes.

Hours of enjoyment for my little boy. He was so happy to own these movies.

Remember this frm my childhood and haven't seen it in so many years.
