I mean, what more can be said about this trilogy. There aren’t a group of words found in Middle Earth that can accurately describe the awesomeness that is the LOTR trilogy. It’s perfection and always will be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We love Lord of the Rings when it came out! But after we watched The Hobbit in BluRay we needed to see Lord of the Rings extended version in BluRay. Happy you sent it to us so quickly!Thank you

The extended editions of The Lord of the Rings are the way to go. I rewatch them every couple of months and I'm never bored. Their totally worth the time. Each movies is divided between two discs which isn't that much of a problem. The version I bought didn't come with the digital codes.

THESE 3 MOVIES ARE SUPERBLY WELL CRAFTED. EVERY ASPECT OF IT REACHES THE LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE. THE PLOT HAS JUST THE RIGHT PACE, NOT TO FAST, NOT TOO SLOW. THE 3 HOUR LONG MOVIE DOES NOT FEEL LIKE A DRAG AT ALL. THE MUSIC, CHARACTERS, AND OF COURSE THE CGI ARE TOP NOTCH, AND ARE DEFINITELY WORTH ENJOYING IN BLU-RAY PICTURE QUALITY.

If you're a fan of the Lord of the Rings, this is definitely the version you want. As countless others have stated, the transfers seem to be superior on this release compared to its Theatrical Edition counterpart and there are a multitude of special features and extended scenes. Great movies, made even better by this cut.

My wife enjoys movies of this type, but had never seen them before. I bought the trilogy for her, but she hasn't had a chance to watch them yet. I have heard from many friends that these are excellent films and am looking forward to her viewing them and letting me know how they are.

If you enjoyed the books, you'll enjoy this extended version of the movies as it follows the books pretty well. I bought this series because of the upgrades we've made to our entertainment system and I wanted to see the extended versions.

This is a good product when purchased on sale for under $50. They did cut corners by just basically copying the the DVD extended editions by not putting each movie on a single disk but the into parts. The special feature disks are not bluray but DVD's the same that come in the DVD extended edition box set. I can understand why some customers would be upset with this product especially at the full purchase price. They honestly could have done a great job with this boxset if they felt it was worth the investment but opted to put out a product to just squeak by.

Come back, my Precious, come back to me, like a siren, the extended films beckon revisiting, resulting in a dreamlike and nearly perfect film experience, reliant on human ethos and pathos rather than strictly upon its remarkable actors and movie magic. It was tough saying goodbye.

I'm so thrilled I purchased this box set. I had a separate box set for each movie originally and I wanted to upgrade to the blue ray and wasn't sure that an extended version set existed. Then I found this set. I was ecstatic to find it even had the behind scenes extras that my DVDs sets had. Well worth what I paid.

Phenomenal. It's nice to have the collection in one nice box-set. I will always consider this to be one of the greatest fantasy trilogies of all time. Tolkien really wrote a legendary story and Peter Jackson brought it to cinema.

I am a big fan of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit series. I have all the Hobbit movies on blu-ray so I decided to pick up this set as well. I love the addition footage that has been added to all three movies. I haven't made my way through all of the bonus features yet but I am sure they a great as well.

Packaging for this product was excellent. All the movies come inside a hard box so all the movies stay together. Each movie is in its own DVD case inside that box. I have a 1080p tv and the Bluray quality on these movies are perfect. Picture is great. These movies will kill plenty of boredom time, lots of hours to view.

The extended version of this trilogy is the only way to view these films. It fills holes that may have arose will watching the theatrical versions. There is no scene selection menu you have to use to view the deleted scenes. The scenes are incorporated into the theatrical version without flaw. Enjoy these versions!

I purchased this exact thing roughly 5 years ago. Of course someone borrowed it, and once again it was never returned. Well, it’s back and I couldn’t be Happier!!! Will surly purchase the 4K addition when they arrive, but at this price...

This collection is simply the best compilation of any movie franchise I have ever seen. With the extra extended scenes and the hours of exhaustive bonus materials, you couldnt possibly want any more. All with the stunning video and rich, full audio only Blu Ray can deliver. I would recommend this to any die hard Rings fan.

I didn't think I could like these movies anymore than I already did but I am so impressed with the blu ray edition. The extra scenes flow nicely with the theatrical versions and the clarity is absolutely amazing. I bought more blu rays because of how much better the quality is than dvd, before I had no idea what I was missing!

If you can't get enough of these movies, then this box set is for you. With over two hours of deleted scenes and 26 hours of bonus features there's enough content to keep you busy for a while. Plus the box looks nice on a shelf.

It's every bit the epic purchase that you think it is. It comes in a cool box that looks ultra pimp on the shelf. Hours and hours of extras to keep you amused and especially the Taming of Smeagol special adds insight into how the Gollum character got developed. True dork overload. Enjoy. :)

The image quality of the Blu-ray compared to the DVD was astounding. Unfortunately, the extended still goes on two discs! I thought with it being blu-ray, they could put the entire extended on one disc. Other than that, the extras are really great (and extensive!) and there was a lot I was missing watching it on DVD that the Blu-Ray offered.
