A great addition to the Lord of the Rings trilogy,

If you've never seen any of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, then it is definitely recommended that you do so. The film is based off of J.R.R. Tolkien's books by the same names, and are wonderfully pieced together. Even if you're not someone who typically enjoys the fantasy genre, I would recommend you give this a fair try. This film is the end of the trilogy, and my goodness does it deliver. The emotion is captured in a way where you'll want to stop everything else and pay close attention. Even if you know what's going to happen, you still feel the emotion and terror of how close each protagonist comes to failing... but surely they succeed... right? Well, you'll just have to watch to find out.

Great movie! To now have the trilogy in Steelbook is a bonus.

This steelbook is incredible. This easily became one of my favorites in my collection. The way they used the classic dvd covers for the art is just amazing. If you’re unsure about getting it when it’s in stock don’t be. Just grab it you won’t regret.

OK, THIS FILM IS INCREDIBLE! I LOVED IT FROM BEGINNING TO END DESPITE ITS PRETTY LONG RUN AT 3 HOURS AND 20 MINUTES. THE ACTION SCENES WHERE EYE POPPING AND BEAUTIFUL. TRULY AN AMAZING AND GLORIOUS CONCLUSION TO THE TRILOGY. The Steelbook has a flat/matte finish and just as the previous Steelbooks, this edition includes a Special Features disc with archival footage of the making of the film.

I'm sure just about everybody has seen this movie, so I'll just remind anybody looking to buy it that it's just the theatrical version. However, that cut is still great. If you're looking to buy this, you're wondering if the steelbook is worth it. I will tell you yes, absolutely. It's a beautiful rendition of the film's theatrical poster.

I cried through the last hour of this movie, but especially at the end, where Peter Jackson clearly set out to tear out the hearts of viewers and obliterate any chance of walking away with some shred of composure and the slightest bit of ocular lubrication left. Talk about a draining movie...but in a good way. And the action. The acting. The story!!!

An excellent film. It's too bad Peter Jackson couldn't figure out how to include the book's original ending: a fascinating allegory about the corrupting influence of totalitarianism on ordinary people. Instead, lots of gooey hobbit-hugging scenes and Gandalf looking really dewy-eyed. Ick. Still, a must-see for all F&SF or LOTR fans.

Been waiting for this to come back in stock. Now my LOTR Steelbook collection is complete. This is the top grossing movie series for good reason. Great movie.

The finale in the LOTR Trilogy. The true King asserts himself and the journey ends but not before you enjoy all of the greatness LOTR's has brought in the first two films of this trilogy. I definitely recommend this and the Steel Book was an added plus!

Awesome movie for my collection. Glad I upgraded my DVD to the Blu-ray version. Visuals are mind blowing. Must have for fans of the series.

One of my fav movies. So happy they made LOTR steelbook movies. Will definitely try to collect all of them in steelbook.

I purchased this BluRay version of Lord of the Rings because it was on sale and I wanted a better quality version than my old DVD. It was on Deal of the Day and I'm so glad I bought it!

Obviously a GREAT movie... ...but the best part is the steelbook, great artwork cover... but its lame in te inside, i mean if we want a steelbook it for the look of it, but on the inside of of the box with nothing??? really??? it doesnt look good at all... but it the only steelbook option so, i got them all 3 thanxs BESTBUY i got the last piece....

This is the last, number 3, of The Lord of the Rings movies. It also took in all the Oscars ( Academy Awards). Great drama, great action, great music . . . a great movie!

Wow! Such a beautiful end to an amazing trilogy. James Cameron did an incredible job, and all of the actors played their parts as if their lives and the existence of all Middle Earth depended upon it.

If you like it, buy it. I just want my points and think it's stupid you have to make a review to get them.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy are my favorite films of all-time. Absolute masterpieces in every way!
