Great family movie a must have if ur a movie collector like me why i love best buy they always have what i need...

I highly recommended this one to anyone who collects movies

It's been 18 years since "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" opened in theaters and I STILL don't quite know how I feel about it. It wasn't until I finally saw the 1925 silent film, "The Lost World", that I understood why Spielberg jettisoned Crichton's novel and what he was trying to do instead. It sort of works, I suppose. As for this Blu-ray edition, they've done a terrific job bringing over bonus features from previous DVD editions, including content originally only available in the Jurassic Park Trilogy DVD box set. It's a shame Spielberg doesn't record commentary tracks, because that's about the only thing this Blu-ray could be accused of missing! The inclusion of Digital HD is also handy. I'm less likely to stream this than I am to simply pop in the Blu-ray Disc, but it's nice to have redundancy just the same!

This sequel to Jurassic Park couldve been better.. this shouldve been better. On the plus side theres more dinosaurs & twice the action. On the negative side it lingers on & on into... San Diego?? Ha! Anyway should entertain some dino fans out there. Enjoy!

Despite what initial critic reviews said about this film, it is definitely one of the stronger sequels in the Jurassic Park franchise. Certainly better than JP3 (that was a disaster) This blu-ray comes jam packed with special features -- both new AND old/recycled docs and featurettes from previous releases. The picture is kinda soft though when compared to JP1 & 2. However, the sound is incredible as it is on all three movies. The best part about this is that it came with Fandango Movie Cash for Jurassic World! Went to see the movie for free. So this practically paid for itself! Awesome!

i wasnt sure what to expect. Tins arent really a good thing for me to collect since they are round and can't stay on my movie shelf unit. but bestbuy's packaging sort of makes up for it. its basically the plastic sleeve that acts like a stand for the tins to be placed in, which will hold them up nicely on your movie shelves. but even still i wouldn't buy a tin casing again. the only reason i did was because it included an ultra violet code so that i can use it with my flixster account which i love. bestbuy, move away from the tins and just continue with steelbook bluray releases. i love those! either way, still very much love this, it was affordable and well made. the bluray/dvd each come in their own plastic sleeve inside the tin.

I recall being disappointed with this film when I first saw it in the theater. But I had just read the book and loved it. That being said, if you expect the book, just skip it. But if you want a fun follow up to the original film, which was, itself a scaled back version of its novel, you should find this quite enjoyable. I bought this and JP3 because they offered free tix to JW ... So it really is a great deal. Worth having in your collection.

The Film: It's very different from the original Jurassic Park, but it has it's moment. The ending could use some work, but it's the thing people remember most. If you're a fan of the first, then this is just for completion. The Packaging: This exclusive goes along with the limited edition of Jurassic World and the set, limited to Best Buy only and is nice, while not a Steelbook, it has it's charm as a tin based on the film logo.

The plot's a bit contrived...and the ending's a tad silly. Actually that would describe Jurassic World too. Anyway, I think I rate this one better than Jurassic Park 3. You really can't hate a movie with Jeff Goldblum anyway. It's not a bad movie. Dinosaurs still eat people and some of the scenes are pretty cool. The chase scene with the stampeding herd of dinosaurs stands out in my mind as pretty decent.

I remember loving the three Jurassic Park movies much more when they originally hit the theaters. With the new Jurassic World coming out, I bought the movies to introduce my sons to the series before seeing the newest one. Like most sequels, the follow up movies are not quite as good (until Jurassic World!), but it is still a fun ride. If you like dinosaurs and action movies, all the Jurassic movies are for you!

This was my favorite of the Jurassic movies! I could care less what anyone at all thinks. The book is my favorite novel of all time also my personal opinion. Anyway, the blu ray transfer is awesome, the sound is terrific especially in the Mommy and Daddy rescue the baby T-Rex scene. I LOVE the new cover art and slipcase matching. Great bonus being the ITUNES hd digital copy oh and the movie is awesome! ;)

Overall, this is a solid movie if you've not read the book. It's worthy of being called a sequel to Jurassic Park though. They're are just too many pieces they had to change with this film from liberties they took with the script of Jurassic Park that keep it from reaching that lofty, classic status. I'd say it's worth picking up though if you're a fan of the original as I am.

Bought this on Black Friday and it was a great deal for a classic on Blu-ray, looks great

The sequel to the hugely popular, 'Jurassic Park', this pics up a year later as you discover the second island where they did all the actual genetic work and a race to stop InGen from removing the dinosaurs from the island to bring them to San Diego for a new attraction. Picked this up with Jurassic Park 1 and 3 and Jurassic World for one low price, all in collectible, matching tins. So nice that Best Buy was able to get these like this!

I recommend all the movies as they not only follow and stay on track with the theme but manage to entertain as well, Though this is not the 1st movie, it stays on track and keeps the story going. If you are goign to buy the newest movie out there buy this one and the original and watch them all together, the story line really stays true!

I purchased this release prior to the latest movie to bring my kids up to speed on the series. The Lost World on Blu-ray transfer is fantastic. The video is clean and crisp with excellent colors. The audio, however, is where this release really shines. If you have a great surround sound system, get ready for this Blu-ray to shake the house (literally). If you like the movie, then you want this release on Blu-ray.

There seems to be a lot of dichotomy surrounding this film when it comes to critics (professional and amateur). The follow-up to the original masterpiece was, in my opinion, an excellent film. I enjoyed where they took the franchise and wish the 3rd, and now 4th films would have stayed a little closer to while filming.

The sequel isn't as popular as the original Jurassic Park, but it makes sense as a follow up. It's darker, meaner, and altogether different from the first movie. I enjoy it every time and the Blu Ray conversion is impressive; the picture and sound quality is excellent. If you're a JP fan, it's worth checking out.

Like any other movie it is all based on personal preference. I personally like most of the Jurassic Park movies. I bought this one to replace an older copy. Best Buy is a great place to order movies from because you earn points and after a few other purchases you can earn a Reward Certificate.

I purchased this in an effort to obtain all of the originals before the newest iteration of the series came out. I love the combo packs and this one in particular because it has not only the blu-ray/dvd/digital combo, but included the iTunes file...in essence, this is four movies in one for less than 8 bucks...I don't think you can find a better deal!
