The Lovely Bones is an excellent book to film adaptation.

I gave this 2 stars, because it was supposed to be a 2 disc special edition & when I received it, there was only 1 disc. The movie however was superb very well told story & great performances by all cast members.

This film was much more compelling than I was expecting and from the moment it started until the end I was glued to my seat. My son told me that this was a film that I should definitely see and he was so right. I highly recommend this movie to both fans of Peter Jackson and to fans of suspense mysteries.

This movie is for anyone that has lost a child, it is very colourful but at the same time very heart wrenching/heart warming, makes you want to keep a closer eye on your kids, especially in this day and age. The bluray version is absolutely outstanding, the best picture quality I have seen since Avatar.

My girlfriend read the book years before the movie was even thought of being made. She loved how the movie started how the book did because it captured that little detail that people love. As far as the movie went, it captured the main parts of the book because lets face it. Its near impossible to include every little detail from the book into the movie. The acting was fantastic, and the world that wasnt heaven or earth was amazing. Peter Jackson captured the passion of not just the main character, but the family and the killer as well. The only reason this is not a 4 star movie for me is because its not my kind of movie. If your loved the book you may like the movie, but if you didnt read the book Id rent the movie before purchasing it.

Excellent movie. The story line and take on the whole concept was amazing. I didn't expect to like this movie so much but it will definitely be one I upgrade to blu-ray and continue to watch.

Mark Wahlberg is terrific. Great story line. Great movie for a great price.

I was disappointed in this movie. Not as good as the book. Slow moving, rather boring.
