If you need a break from today's comic book hero and modern day action hero movies replete with their obligatory car chases and nanosecond scene cuts so that you can't follow the action then try something different. Here is the original classic action heroes movie in a classic Western setting - The Magnificent Seven! Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and James Coburn are the original classic action heroes who inspired countless stars even today. Now out on Blu-ray is the entire collection of the Magnificent Seven movies. Although the original is undoubtedly the best, the three credible sequels are enjoyable to see other Western/Action Heroes from this era. Great package and value will provide you countless hours of enjoyment.

I saw all four of these movies in a theater when they originally came out but it's been a long time since then. I just watched this collection in sequence and it was a pleasure to view them again, after so long. The movies looked great and with the enhanced sound it was like being in a theater again. If you like westerns, you would be very happy with this collection. Back at the time, and still today, I feel the first two titles are the best - once Yul Brynner left the last two films just weren't as good, in my opinion. Still an enjoyable set - I miss westerns but heartily recommend this collection and "Open Range" as great examples of the genre!

The price of this set is worth it for the first movie alone, which is an absolute classic. That's the long and short of it. The fact that you get the sequels is just gravy. None of them can match the original, but if you're just a completionist, or just have an unexplainable affinity for inferior sequels like I do, you'll be happy to have the full Magnificent Seven collection for just a couple dollars more than the cost of the first film alone.

It was good to see some of the years past actors in their prime (or coming into their prime). Now we can see why Yul Brynner was so popular back then,, because he has this stage presence that takes over the scenes. Good to be reminded of the young actors that were coming into their own, such as Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, and James Colburn who was so cool in his role as the quiet knife throwing gunman. Also, have to give credit to Eli Wallach as the lead bandit who played a good role. Good to watch when in between other recent movies.

After the 2016 remake came out, many people were wondering what the original was like. This collection answers that question: The original was well scripted and well acted and had a great musical score. In my opinion, the 1960 version is superior to 2016's effort. Based solely on getting the original, this is worth it. This collection, however, goes further and provides three sequels from 1966, 1969 and 1972. These sequels are fun to watch, but they are a pale imitation of either of the "Magnificent Seven"s.

Magnificent Seven is a classic. In my opinion it should be in every movie buff collection...It has as the the lead one of our greatest actors(Yul Brynner) and introduce us to three up and comig stars(Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and James Coburn).. Can't get better than that.. You will enjoy this movie each and every time you watch it..

This collection of Magnificent Seven movies are one of the best westerns ever produced. The actors are some of the best in their roles in each of the collection-set movies. At least six times a year we love to watch The Magnificent Seven. In addition, the music score is so enjoyable to hear when the movie starts to get one ready to view one of the best western ever.

Four movies for $15, it's hard to go wrong. The first film is a classic, it's what the Denzel/Pratt remake is based loosely on and in its own right has some great performances by some great actors in it. A well-above-average western, for this period in cinema. Three sequels too. Even though only Yul Brenner returns once and nobody else comes back at all, they're still fairly watchable.

Magnificent seven is hands down my favorite film. The Archetypes are well done and the acting is handled with great care. You have a director at the zenith of his game. Beautifully photographed and edited. The other films are standard fare and great for passing the time. The Price of the blu ray was to good to pass up.

okay this is one guys opinion but in my opinion this is the Best Western movies to come out. The cast of brillant talented actors , great scenes , the Best Musical Western Movie score ever !!!. Now they have this set in Blu-ray. the picture quality seems a bit better than the dvd version and the sound comes in pretty good.

I had no idea that there were FOUR movies to the original Magnificent 7. I saw the NEW one in the theater the other day, and it was great...when I saw this 4-pack in Best Buy, I grabbed it up! I cant wait to watch all of them. Re-live the original and see the 3 ones that I didn't know about. WAHOO!

The only film that is great is the original film. Each subsequent film goes down in quality but never to the point that they are unwatchable thanks to good leads in Brynner, Kennedy, and Van Cleef. Only problem with set is no digital copy for the films and none of them can be converted on Vudu.

I never knew there were more than 2 movies made on The Magnificent Seven. These movies are great action movies for the time, some of my very favorite movies. I highly recommend this collection to any action movie buff, classic western lover, or collector of movies.

I am a western movie fan and to have the whole collection of the magnificent seven together in a set will be a good addition to my collection. I have to say the first movie is my favorite. Yul brynner, Steve McQueen and the rest of the cast created a great western classic.

I am not going to review the movies. They have been around for a while, and I am sure most have seen these, or know if they even have an interest. The picture quality on these was good, especially for movies that are 50 years old on average. The sound, while not rivaling a new movie, still got the job done.

Mainly bought this for the 1960 original. $19.99 for the entire saga was a steal. I would recommend this for any western fan. Elmer Bernstein's music is first rate on the original as well. It comes across nicely on this Blu-ray Disc.

The mag 7 is one of the iconic western movies .The casting was superb and the story line was great ( patterned from the 7 Summari ) . However as the sequels went on the movies got weaker and weaker from the casting of actors and the script . Not a fan of the last two movies .

This is a classic Western plenty of action and a all-star cast Yul Brenner is magnificent in the lead role and Eli Wallach is a worthy adversary anyone who enjoys westerns Will enjoy watching this one from beginning to end.

If you're a fan of the Seven Samurai you'll enjoy this western version. I gave it 4 stars for the price of the collection and for the original Magnificent 7.t he second and third one I didn't care for much its the same story as the first one. But for $12.99 it is worth it.

The original movie is the best in this collection. That said, the other movies are still fun to watch. It didn't hurt that this set came with a free ticket to see the new Magnificent Seven(it was really good).
