This 1955 James Stewart western was one of the first to be filmed in Cinemascope. The plot has our hero Will Lockhart (Stewart) delivering supplies from Laramie to Coronado, a small remote town in Apache territory. However, his problem isn't with the Indians, but with the son of the autocratic owner of a large ranch outside of town. Will's cavalry brother had been killed in battle, and so he is quietly searching for someone who is selling repeating rifles to the Apaches. During his search a witness is found dead and Will is accused of it as well as stealing by the rancher's son. Things come to a head between the two in a fight for justice. Good Oater!!

The Man from Laramie stars James Stewart as an Army Captain who is investigating the massacre of an Army Patrol. One of the victims was Stewart's brother. Somebody has been selling rifles to the Indians and Stewart is intent on finding out who. The Desperados stars Glenn Ford and Randolph Scott as former pals on the opposite sides of the law. Ford is a bank robber and Scott is now a Sheriff. Edgar Buchanan turns in one of his best performances as a shady businessman who is one of the leading citizens of the town.

Nothing better than Jimmy Stewart in a western, and this did not disappoint.
