This first season of the tv series had come out because of the latest movie. I bought it because the price for the old tv series dvds were now at a better discount. I remember watching the series when it first came out. Its age does show, but I have to say I still liked the old tv show better than the movie. The movie was a sort of disappointment.

Fun to watch and interesting as cultural documentation on how social norms have changed. My wife had never watched it before and I was younger than the target audience when these shows were first aired, so we both find the episodes light, entertaining, and sometimes quite surprising.

Lots of legends Jill Ireland , stars from other TV series , look forward to second season . Commentary would be nice.background better

Classic show, good writing, cannot go wrong with this original spy series. Vintage 60's television at its best..

Paid for a video. Got a video. Happy with video. Need two more characters to finish the review. This is silly.

It is interesting to see David McCallum's younger self playing a character other than "Ducky."

Fantastic Series and to have all of it available in one set is great. I have watched the entire series already and may watch it over again! Seeing David McCallum (Ducky from NCIS) as a young actor is amazing.

Classic TV collection at a great price. Must have for any child of the sixties.

The first season of The Man From Uncle shows what the series was all about.

This was a favorite program of my youth and still put a smile on my face.

The Man from UNCLE (first season) was one of my favorite shows in the 60's until the later seasons where they made it a more tongue in cheek comedy. Great price for a classic TV show.

Back to our youth - still fun to watch and see 'dukie' as a kid

I loved this series as a kid and when I saw it on the shelf at Best Buy, I knew I had to own the complete collection.

A series that I enjoyed growing up. Looking forward to other season releases.

Like most, between watching David McCallum and seeing the movie release brought nostalgia for the old series. With the early summer lake of new programming, bought season 1 at a good price. Can't comment on the quality, not knowing what the original quality of the filming. The episodes are streamed together on each disk - not separated by a new chapter - given the feel it was transferred over to DVD from a VHS. Other than that, it was a reasonable purchase and fun to see some old stuff. IT would have been fun if there was some additional featurettes of back stories for the series and actors. Would I buy season 2, probably no - one season of nostalgia is enough - thus my recommendation on whether I would recommend to a friend.

One of my favorite TV series from my childhood. Looking forward to the other seasons on disc.
