The only movie made with these two actors. Outstanding story based on something from Rudyard Kipling. True acting exemplified. For Americans who've never seen it, best to have a Brit close by to explain some of the slang. I just added this because my other copy isn't Blu-Ray.

An extraordinary saga filled with high adventure, spirited dialogue and snappy one-liners. The film has a penchant for superbly crafted cinematography of the Kabure Pass, Snow Capped Mountains, Plateaus, and both attention getting foregrounds and backgrounds. Under the tutelage of Director John Huston, Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer create both entertaining and interesting chemistry. The story-line is a saga of two rogues set out to fleece the isolated and distant country Kafiristan – a wild and rough country just North of the Afghanistan Plateau. It is a splendid tale that’s truly worth remembering and coming back to as it is a most witty and amusing view.

An often overlooked classic. Connery and Caine have said this is one of the funnest-to-make movies they ever did and their enjoyment leaps off the screen. Great acting, beautiful scenery, and action-packed story make this a very enjoyable movie. While the 1800s Kipling-colonialism on display in this story may be a bit much for modern sensibilities, it's really the story of one man's vain glorious fall (representing the British Empire) and an other's realization of his British arrogance and racism regarding colonial peoples.

Michael Caine and Sean Connery are excellent together as the bravest and boldest of British soldiers off to find the gold of Alexander the Great. It is a wonderfully exciting, fast-paced movie with stunning scenery of a country few of us may ever get to see. Despite Sean Connery's foolish egotism, Michael Caine always stands by him as his loyal and faithful friend. And there is no bad language in it to worry about!

A Rudyard Kipling story directed by John Huston starring Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer. You can't go wrong with this group. It is a typical Kipling story; think of Gunga Din or The Jungle Book. The characters are a little larger than life and the setting is exotic. It is worth watching.

Really great movie with tow big stars. Connery and Caine have a blast in the adventure movie. Blu-ray is pretty good. No Extras really to speak of.
