This story is important for the sake of invigorating the future astronauts and space explorers and it looks absolutely incredible in 4K. Ridley Scott really outdid himself with this flick. Its my second favorite movie of his after ALIEN. It has action, comedy but most important heart. Definitely recommended

This was my first 4K video to watch. The colors and resolution is fantastic as well as the sound. Make sure you set up the sound for your system Dolby 5.1, 7.1 etc which I forgot todo to start. The video had a good story line. It is PG13 but I don't need the nasty talk to make it a good movie. Just my opinion

Title says it all. This is a fantastic movie, and Matt Damon absolutely crushes it as Mark Whatney. The extended cut only adds to the original and throws in a few scenes from the book (which is great). However, I will chime in that it was absurd that the extended cut wasn't released along with the theatrical.

Okay, so maybe a tad far fetched although the science was sound. An exciting story about survival. It was "castaway" on Mars with a twist. Awesome Special effects, good and solid story line and as usual, quality acting from "Good Will Hunting" Matt Damon... It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole movie through....

This was an absolutely fantastic movie. It is a well made movie with an awesome plot, and quite a bit of humor. Matt Damon did a great job playing the part. A great buy and would definitely recommend buying this movie! The blu ray combo is a great way to go if you enjoy using the digital copy services to view movies!

I bought this The Martian 3D on sale. It is a great space sci-fi movie. Matt Damon does an excellent job playing a character accedently left behind on Mars. Then trying to survive until a rescue can take place. The 3D just adds some extra realism for me to the movie. I would highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed "The Martian" in the theater, and now that I have a new HD TV and Blue Ray player, I wanted this for home viewing and the results are amazing. this is not only a gorgeously filmed movie, but both funny and endearing. Matt Damon is The Martian, with the help of many other actors and Ridley Scott.

Matt Damon puts out a most spectacular and riveting performance in this movie. He shows the will and the experience to get through an almost impossible task of being rescued on Mars. He proves that self will and determination can get you through almost any problem especially one so far away and space. Don't miss it.

And that is to wow audiences. The Martian is an excellent movie based on an excellent book, but the film does wonders in showing the struggle of Damon's character. Excellent CGI, excellent visuals, excellent plot, excellent everything. This movie is out of this world ;) ..if you don't mind me being frank!

One of the best movies for 2015, the Martian has it all. Great story, great dialogue, funny at times and a winning performance for Matt Damon. Stuck on Mars alone, his ingenuity and desire to remain alive maintains the right amount of tension throughout the whole movie. A must have for anyone who's into the genre.

far apart from science fiction... this movie can actually be a true/real life event. that what make this movie so great. Matt Damon is a great example to take on this role of surviving on Mars. there would no reason not to watch again, even once every 6 months would be worth it! I love it!

The movie was excellent and Matt Damon looked perfect for the role. Each time he solved a problem, then another obstacle would arise and the planet Mars is not his friend. The movie is about one isolated human being with his can-do spirit and never taking the easy way out. This Blu Ray is a must have and enjoy...

I loved the book. One of my all time favorites. I knew after reading the first paragraph that it was going to be a great book. I love the movie too. It's rare that a movie lives up to the standard set by the book but this one did. Matt Damon was excellent as was the rest of the cast. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful film that tells a completely believable story - albeit fantasy right now - that could one day become reality. A drama with elements of humor woven into a story that has a happy ending. Very entertaining and recommended to anyone who appreciates the work and sacrifice of our nation's astronauts.

Not your typical sci fi movie, however enough sci fi mixed with drama to stay alive on a celestial planet to keep you interested. Seems there was a little more focus on the story line then a number of other recent movies that focus on the special affects instead of on a true story plot. Definitely worth the watch.

One of the best films of 2015. In one of Matt Damon's best performances since Good Will Hunting (1997), and with Ridley Scott truly outperforming his directorial talents, this is a cannot miss film; a true masterpiece. I highly recommend all to see (first buy) this film. You will not be disappointed, not one bit.

Matt Damon plays an incredible role in this movie about one man's desire to overcome at all odds. From the time the movie started, I was glued to the screen in anticipation of what would happen next. While I know several others have frowned upon this movie, I found it extraordinary and highly recommend it to all.

I like this movie, but I hate it when I buy a movie when they first release it and then a few months later they release the same movie with 10 extra minutes in it. I need to learn to just wait until they come out with the longer version, because it usually always has the theatrical version included anyway.

This contains both the Theatrical and The Director's Cut, and both are fine. It's a long film, but light in spirit (though very dramatic when it needs to be). Just a very enjoyable film. And it looks terrific in 4K. A lot of nice extra features.

I really love The Martian and this 4K blu-ray release is really great. You get the 4K picture and all the special features from the previous blu-ray releases. Everyone wins with this release.
