Great film! Matt Damon gives an outstanding performance. The supporting cast also does a great job of filling in where he isn't. Though based off a book,I would suggest reading the book first and watching the movie after. A great film indeed.

Ridley Scott did a great job bringing this realistic sci-fi story to life. Matt Damon gave an amazing performance. It's been a while since I last saw the theatrical film, so I'm not sure what's different in the Extended version.

If you want to test you 4k TV, this is one of the best movie. Colorful with bright colors and darkest of the dark, must have if you have 4k player. Only thing is kinda getting tired of movies about rescuing Matt Damon.

Matt Damon. Whether you like him or not this is a great movie and will be a classic for years to come. The book is always better but the director did the book justice.

Enjoyed the movie. The plot was suspenseful, kept you wondering what was going to happen next. The writer was good at creating another challenge then working out a solution. This movie and Matt Damon should be nominated for an Academy Award.

After getting stranded on Mars, he must survive until NASA can rescue him. Matt Damon has some really funny moments in this movie and it is fun to watch his character have to MacGyver a way to have enough food and water to survive!

The Martian was out of this world incredible. It's my favorite of the year 2015. Watching one of my favorite books ever, come to life and manage to make me feel what I felt whilst reading it was amazing. It definitely deserves best picture..

Good movie with a great picture. The 4k is stunning for the Martian. The red planet looks like it right outside your window.

Absolutely loved this film, the blu-ray is great. However when it comes to the different cuts of the movie, there weren't that many changes. If you loved the original cut, still check out this one. The special features are incredible.

Emotional, smart and adventurous tour of the planet Mars in the undesignated future. A very human experience for a Robinson Caruso type character, as well as a host of people trying to retrieve him. I found it very fun to watch.

Love this movie, looks and sounds amazing in 4k and Atmos. Extras are awesome for a space nut!

Another great Matt Damon movie with help from solid supporting actors. Awesome plot that can have you on the edge at times. Beautiful 4K HDR picture and Dolby Atmos sound that makes for a stunning theater experience.

Matt Damon is spectacular in this film about an astronaut who is stranded on Mars. In this epic space film, you experience emotions across the spectrum, from happy to sad. A great movie for a film collection, especially in 4K.

This is no sci-fi movie. Everything in it is based on actual science, as the book was written by a NASA engineer. Even so, it is exciting and very entertaining. Great movie, and the 4K makes the Martian landscape captivating.

I even got my husband to watch it with me. There's drama and even some comedic moments in the film. Done very well. And it's very, very realistic. I don't believe there would be someone out there who would not enjoy this movie on BluRay.

This film was my overall favorite film of 2015. The story is so good and entertaining. It has more surprises than I thought it would and the cinematography is phenomenal as well as the special effects. Everything just clicks in this film.

This is a great movie with a great cast. Matt Damon continues to excel with every role he takes on and this was no exception. I recommend this film for everyone. I even heard used as the basis for a Sunday morning sermon at church,

Great movie made a little bit better with 10 minutes of exgended footage. While understandable why those 10 minutes were cut, it's nice to see them anyway. The only disappointment is that there's no 3D version of the extended version.

One of those "what if" stories for me - as in how would a different person have handled the ordeal. Pick 10 random people and put them in the same situation and see if they are as "strong" as they think they are. Already watched it twice.

You have to have all 4K equipment to really get everything out of it and I mean audio and video equipment. I don't need to review the plot as everyone already knows it but the stunning 4K resolution really makes Mars pop out.
