If you like Sci-fi movies or even Matt Damon, then I highly recommend you check this movie out. I have been told it varies from the book, but was still very enjoyable to fans of the book. So go rent it or buy it and see if you agree.

Movie was fantastic! I can’t believe I waited this long to watch it. Wahlberg was marvelous. However I did receive a copy with a puncture in the artwork so that was a bummer.

This film has been ripped apart for being unrealistic or unscientific, but if judged on its own, it's a pretty good story of adventure and human drama. I don't judge it based on its accuracy, because it is credible enough to be engaging, and it's not a true story anyway. Damon is always good, and the effects are good, with no over-the-top action. Quite entertaining!

As soon as the trailer came out I knew this would be a great movie. The astronaut Mark Watney was extremely likable and relatable. And nothing in the movie was too far fetched. All the characters felt real and cared for one another.

Great movie for anyone looking for an adventure type film. I'm sure everyone knows the movie or at least has heard about this movie. The book is also well written and a quick read. I highly recommend this movie to anyone!

This film was a must buy for me as a serious science fiction fan. It was a minor miracle that this science-heavy story set on Mars ever got made in today's Hollywood, but I'm glad it did. Ridley Scott delivers another sci fi winner.

This was a really great movie for 95% of it. I have to admit the last few sequences were...eh. Good acting by Matt Damon and a clever screenplay. A fairly good balance of action, comedy and drama throughout. All in all a good watch.

Great movie. Suspenseful and very entertaining. Matt Damon does a great job in his role. Watched some videos online with Neil DeGrasse Tyson who talks about the realistic realm the movie is based on. Makes it even better! Awesome.

this is a great movie in itself, then add the 4K video and the Dolby sound it that much better! its one to add to the 4K collection in my option.

As you can imagine, this movie revolves heavily around science and illustrates how different life would be on mars. The 4k brings out the detail in the subtle scenes. Not overly action packed but it has it's moments.

I saw this movie in theaters and absolutely loved it so I knew I would buy it when it came out for sale. I have watched it a number of times since purchase and it is still exciting. Definitely worthy of its best picture nomination.

Got to watch in 4K and HDR, very good visuals and sound, very interesting story line. Example of never giving up even when the odds are overwhelmingly stacked against you. Good movie to keep and watch many times.

The entire storyline in this movie is made by the acting powers of the central character Matt Damon he does an excellent job at conveying what it could possibly be like to be stranded somewhere else that's not Earth. Powerful movie

Fantastic movie with Matt Damon. Great story eventhough it's a little far fetched, but I'm sure in time this fantasy will become reality. Excellent entertainment value in a movie. Good as Interstellar and other space genre movies.

I bought the Bluray disc of this movie and held off in watching it for several months. Finally watched it last weekend and I was amazed at how good this movie was. Watch this movie if you have not seen it yet.

This is a great movie with stunning visuals, especially on blu-ray. Matt Damon is fantastic (which is good, because he's on screen for most of the film), and the script is a great combination of tragic, hilarious, and suspenseful.

The movie is well done. The picture colors and resolution are first rate. The 5.1 is well done. The included xtras are ominous.

I've seen it several times and I will probably watch it several move times. It wasn't anything like what I was expecting the first time that I saw it. I've talked several of my friends into getting the movie.

I think it could have been funnier. The acting in the movie is excellent, but I still feel it was missing a certain humor that was in the book. While there are a number of jokes throughout the movie, it didn't have the same overall feel. Still, great special effects, great acting, and a great story. In my opinion, the Martian is way better than movies it gets compared to like Interstellar.

After seeing Matt Damon in Interstellar, it was more than a coincidence that he ended up in the lead role in this movie about an astronaut on Mars. Great concept and interesting antidotes throughout the movie. Highly recommended.
