I was probably one of the few people that did enjoy the movie Castaway. My concern was that this might be quite similar. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Thought it was a great movie. Great story line, wonderful cast.

This is a great film. The concept is so simple and it is all placed primarily in 2 area but they executed everything so well and make it feel real. It is one of Matt Damon's best movies and it is definitely worth seeing.

While not exactly completely ideal for children, this movie will inspire our next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers for space travel. NASA hasn't been as active (publicly) as they have since this movie came out.

I read the book long before it was even picked for a movie screenplay. I really enjoyed the book, and when I saw it was being made into a movie, I knew I had to go see it. Saw that it came out on Bluray and bought it immediately.

Based on the popular book by Andy Weir, The Martian is a faithful adaptation of the source material. Matt Damon gives a great performance. Visually the movie is breathtaking and the Mars landscapes are incredible in HD.

I'm not really a fan of Scifi or space type movies so I was surprised at how much I liked this movie. Not really a big Matt Damon fan either aside from the Bourne movies and Dogma of course. It was funny and really entertaining.

I don't watch many movies and I buy even less but... I love Matt Damon (as an actor). This movie was so good it made me by the book, which was even better. Much more detail in thee book, but the movie captures it very well.

I didn't know what to expect but I found this movie very entertaining and the acting quite good. Like most fantasies you had to somewhat suspend belief but the premise was clever. Not as good as Appollo 13 but held my attention.

Great movie. Read the book before the movie was released and thought they did a good job with it. If you like the movie and like to read I recommend the book also. Especially if you're something of a techy or a do it yourselfer.

Really good movie with a good story of survival on Mars and the determination to make back to Earth, one of my favorite Matt Damon movies.

Great Movie! The visuals were amazing! With surround sound, it made me really fell like I was in space. I already watched this twice! It gives an interesting and cool perspective of what astronauts go through.

I got the original 4K Ultra Blu-Ray when it first came out and loved it. So when the extended version was finally released in 4K, I immediately ordered it on-line when my local Best Buy did not have a copy on the shelf.

i got a theatrical version before this one came out. i really liked it. so i was waiting 'til the price went down for this version. it's great! 2 cuts in it! the best ridley scott move in a decade!

I enjoyed this movie it is two and a half hours, but it didn't seem that long. People say it's Castaway in space, but I don't think it is, he has no volleyball named Wilson!

This movie is absolutely stunning in 4k and it just so happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time.

I loved this movie. No matter how difficult a situation can be... you can rise above the hardships that comes in your world. Don't quit. That's the message of the movie.

I did not have any problems or issues with the DVD and my movie arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I thought the movie was great and I would recommend this movie although you don't have to be a Sci-Fi fan to enjoy it.

So happy that I was able to buy this movie ahead of the the 88th Academy Awards. Such a phenomenal movie!!! I can't lie though; I'm totally biased for this movie to win Best Picture, since this is the only one that I have seen.

Any true movie buff will buy the bluray in 3D as orginally shown in theatres. The Martian is great with coming at you special effects especially the Mars scenes. 4k is a gimmick. 3D is the best.

Didn't want to see this movie when it came out. I watched it at a family members house and I really liked it. So I waited for it to come out on Blu-ray and I bought the steelbook edition and really enjoyed this movie.
