You'll be sold on this 4K in the first 5 minutes. Why i didnt buy this sooner i dont know. Fun tense scifi with great cast.

While I am a big fan of "real" science fiction (aliens, ray guns), the recent trend of realistic space movies is very welcome. While a little dry, this avoids getting wiz-bang - though I must admit, the punctured glove thruster in the final capture scene defies my suspension of disbelief. Overall engaging and remains within the bounds of reality.

So I just got my food processor and so far im really impressed. We haven't used it much but I can tell its good quality and going to last. My girlfriend has had a few cheaper ones in the past and says that we got a good one.

I loved the movie in the theater so much I read the book. Great story. Great filming. Did not expect it to be so funny. Great fun for everyone. The Blu Ray was great. 3D very well done, not intrusive. Very sharp picture.

The movie reminds me of the 60's movie Robinson Caruso on Mars. But it is perfect for today with incredible emphasis on science. We spend too much knocking science and not enough time really looking into what it does for us.

Being a sci-fi nut I was hooked from the opening credits to the closing credits. There was not much in the way action but that didn't detract from the great acting and directing behind the movie. It moved along rather well.

I love this movie and owned it on blu Ray HD. I bought the Samsung 65" 8000 4K set with HDR and bought this at the same time. The visuals in this are amazing. Best movie to show off 4K and can be watched over and over.

THE MARTIAN was a very interesting movie, albeit not full of a whole lot of developed characters or exciting action. It asks the question, "What do you do if you're stranded on Mars?" Since the first "Martians" would surely be picked from the cream of the crop of multi-field scientific talent, the implementation of answers to that question are fun to think through.

Really enjoyed this movie watching one man use all his resources to save himself. Maybe at times a little unbelievable, buy hey, it's just a movie, albeit a really good movie to whisk yourself off to another planet.

Matt Damon definitely does a great job portraying the abandon space astronaut on Mars. It is definitely one of my favorite sci-fi movies yet because of the storyline and because of all the great actors in the movie.

This movie was so unexpectedly good I can't even explain. It keeps your attention the whole movie. Even my teenage daughter who has the attention span of well a teenager, sat through the whole movie and enjoyed it as well!

Loved this movie from start to finish. Have always been a sci first fan. This was just a great story with unexpected humor . Which made it great. Visually wonderful cast was perfect. A great movie to add to your collection!

Although it's not the kind of movie I would watch repeatedly, having it in 4k when I do watch it is wonderful, especially the Martian landscape. The extended version is worth the watch, too. It's not filler like in some extended versions because it adds important elements to the story.

Even tho the "extended edition" doesn't really add a lot timewise, the 4k edition is definitely the way to view this movie.

God speed little taters! We were skeptical about the movie, having ready the book and liking it so much. But this time Hollywood didn't disappoint. Great movie that didn't completely rewrite the book for a change.

I had wanted to see in the theater but I enjoyed this film in my home just fine and the blu ray was terrific. I watched it twice now seeing something new each time. Action, suspense, and humor this film made science cooler

I had already seen the movie in the theater and wanted to add it to my library. I enjoy the blueray platform for the visual quality and for the added features. The movie was excellent. The Blueray DVD worked as advertised.

This is a great movie but more than that I was entirely blown away by the crispness and clarity of 4K. I have always loves movies dealing with space such as Star Trek, Contact, and seeing it in 4K was simply stunning.

Damen was amazing in this role. The special effects looked realistic. The story line was excellent. It really makes you think...astronauts can go through a lot. It's definitely a required acquisition for any video library.

It was a well thought out movie and was one of the best Matt Damon movies I've seen in a long while. While he's not my favorite actor, he really did a fantastic job on this movie and climbed up my favorite actors list.
