Great movie. Better price for s4k at less than $10 during the early Black Friday sale. Shipping unfortunately was slow.

This is a very faithful adaptation of the boook its based on. It's so well made, you find yourself with your fingers crossed and on the edge of your seat, despite having read the book and knowing he gets out alive.

Definitely one of the best from 2015. Damon has done it again. Truly entertaining with superb cinematography effects without overkill. A sci-fi that everyone will enjoy. A definite must see. Promotes STEM for kids.

I read the book... an enjoyable read. I saw the movie, and was glad I'd read the book. But this CD, extended cut, is fantastic!! It's and interesting, plausible story, with a fantastic supporting cast.

This movie has the same sort of feel as Apollo 13 or The Right Stuff - the drama captures you and takes you for a great ride. This movie should have created a movement to say, "Hey, NASA, let's get going!"

Has some language but my 11 and 13 year old loved it. Made them think and how or what they would do to survive. Shows the importance of Science and Math. Funny, suspenseful, and kept you thinking. Great music. LOL

My husband and I really liked this movie, and once we got a 4k TV and saw there was an extended version we just had to get it. The added scenes are a great addition to an already fantastic movie.

This is an excellent movie. The 3D blu-ray does not disappoint. I've got an Optima projector and a 120" screen, and the experience rivals seeing it at the movies. Well worth the money for sci-fi fans and 3D buffs.

Picked up this film since my husband wanted to see it and we missed it when it was showing at the movies. Enjoyed the film, especially on the 2nd viewing...there were a couple questions we had after first viewing.

I would recommend this movie, especially if your interested in space travel or the technology of space travel. Some interesting info is spoken about in flick......... Interesting story ..... But predictable ......

Great movie based on an even better book. Menus, features and quality are on par with most modern Blu-Ray movies. Includes a digital UV copy but no DVD copy (which I don't personally care too much about).

the martian has to be one of my faves just beucase it has some really great humor and at the same time its serious its perfect to watch with family as well a few cuss words but other then that great movie

Approached this one with caution, now I own it. Very impressively done with acting and realities of what the quest to occupy the red planet could create. Matt did a very grand job with acting in this movie

Wonderful book to screen adaptation.science fiction reality in its finest .wonderful 3d movie with awesome special effects.Matt Damon has done it again. dad's collection- is a must, but great for the whole family.

I originally saw this movie on a flight, I enjoyed it thoroughly and decided this was one for my permanent collection. Matt Damon was outstanding. All the supporting cast was also brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyable.

like cast away, martian features matt damon in a movie primarily done by him in solo. this in no way takes away from the feature. extremely well done and ingenious in its scientific method. a definite must watch

This is a must own for any fan of the human spirit. Matt Damon is exceptional in this roll and owns every moment. Sci-Fi fans and drama fans can stand side by side and enjoy this movie together without prejudice.

One of my favorite movies and to have it in 4k is even better! Not to mention the extended edition is great!!

This is essentially CASTAWAY, but on Mars. That’s already more intriguing an idea to me than 3 hours with Tom Hanks & a beach ball on an island. There’s decent suspense & a slew of classic disco songs sprinkled throughout. Ridley Scott did this in the midst of rejoining the ALIEN saga, but to be sure, there are no aliens in this flick.

Wonderful flick about how to overcome adversity. Well acted by Matt Damon as an astronaut explorer and scientist stranded on the planet Mars by accident, keeping himself alive and leading to his eventual rescue.
