I read the book first, last summer, and couldn't wait for the movie to hit the store shelves. I snatched it up when it released, and am glad I did. It's a very good movie, even better if you read the book first.

Video quality is really good. Audio quality on scenes where there's plenty of action going on is actually immersive!! Movie itself is quite long but never boring!

I never saw this movie before buying it. I heard great things about it and took a chance on it. This was a great movie to watch, it reminded me of Gravity. Things you don't want to happen to you while in space.

If I could I would go above 5 stars. This is one of the most realistic and best movies ever made. I have watched it many times. Little bit too much crude language for little kids.

I like Matt Damon and I like movies such as this so this is an obvious choice to add to our favorite movies collection. Matt Damon is wonderful in this movie. It is funny, entertaining as well as a good drama.

While Matt Damon won't win an Oscar for his performance, the Martian is a great movie. The story line is very believable and could be a glimpse of what life could be like on Mars. I highly recommend this movie.

I love this movie! I could tell that they did their research, but really began to appreciate the details after doing a little research on Nasa's Orion program and visiting Boeing's Museum of Flight in Seattle!

If you have not seen this movie, you need to. If you love this movie, then it is 100% worth buying on Blu-ray. This also included a digital copy so you can watch on any device. Great for long plane rides.

Although as a certifiable space nut I found parts of the movie totally unbelievable, I was thoroughly entertained for the entire length of the film. It is definitely fun viewing, especially for Matt Damon fans.

I previously read the book by Andy Weir and when this movie came out I was excited to see it. The Martian in 4K is spectacular and the extended scenes are icing on the cake. A must see.

I hadn't seen this movie in 3D yet so when I saw it was on sale in the 3D format I went ahead and purchased it. Wasn't disappointed, great movie and really enjoyed it again in 3D!

Great movie. Great writing, Great acting, Matt Damon is on point. Ridley Scott, the master of science fiction has delivered another winner. Even if you don't like sci fi flicks, this one is worth checking out.

I love a good space movie and this was a great movie. It reminded me of Apollo 13 and that's a good thing. I loved seeing how he came up with ways to survive on Mars and overcoming everything that came at him.

It's tough for me to rate movies, because I'm not sure if I should be rating the movie itself, or the DVD/Blu-Ray. The movie is excellent (I'm sure you know that... I think everyone's seen it). The Blu-Ray is good. It's got some bonus features, but who really watches them. The reason for only 4 stars is because I think DVD/Blu-Rays are way overpriced.

Despite horrible customer service from Best Buy, I bought this movie to use a $10 rewards certificate. Otherwise I would have spent my money at another business.Best movie I have seen in last 5 years.

Interesting start, thought it was getting a bit dragged out, but suddenly regained my attention. Not as thought provoking as Interstellar, but definitely a movie I would watch a few times to see what I missed.

I watched this movie with my son and we both enjoyed it immensely. The characters were well casted (I love Matt Damon) and the story was a good mix of science and drama. Would definitely recommend this movie.

A great movie with *mostly* realistic science behind it. Both the movie and the book are fantastic and highly recommended. They also serve as the best promotional material for NASA that I've seen in awhile :-)
