Besides being a very well made movie, the 4k version brought a whole new level to the viewing experience over the standard Blu-ray. Better colors, better detail.... awesome!

Matt Damon is at his best in The Martian. The movie itself was a joy to watch, but if you have the option of watching it in 3D, I strongly encourage it. It's filmed in native 3D and it shows!

The extended edition adds some additional insight to the story. It's only about an extra 10 minutes but glad to have the complete version. The 4K picture quality is awesome.

Without reading the reviews, I saw that this was nominated as a comedy even though it wasn't a comedy. I am glad I spent the time to watch this film for myself. Truth is, it was just good Hollywood story telling. It was well acted and nothing was ridiculous or over the top. A film that would make an ideal date flick. I recommend it.

I loved this movie in the theater and on cable but when I saw all the bonus features provided I knew I had to get this as a gift for the whole family. what tremendous extras here. wow
