Great Packaging for a Trilogy!

Pros: I love it when they put a trilogy or anthology in steelbook packaging, especially a single case like this! As a collector this is huge, as space is a premium on my shelf. Digital copies included is also extremely beneficial for those moments I want to watch on the go or am just too lazy to go get the case and road the player. All in all a great purchase that would recommend.
Cons: This is a constant complaint of mine - typically folks who purchase textbooks are collectors and go out of their way to acquire textbook editions of movies; why can't they 1) make the movie info card cover easier to trim for saving inside the cover? Or 2) make it smaller in the first place so there's no trimming required? They should consciously anticipate their audience for steelbooks: collectors. Second, I was lucky to discover the trilogy coming out in steelbooks so that I waited to purchase this one; otherwise, if I remember right only 2 of the 3 were available as steelbooks at Best Buy... my solution would be for Best Buy to initiate a "Steelbooks Collectors Club" or something, where you could get on a special list and get head's up notifications of future steelbooks, with the option to remind us when something can be pre-ordered.

What can be said that hasn’t been said since 1999. The Matrix is the movie that for a lot of people started it all for action, shooter, MMA, pc story here.
This is the set that started like many on vhs and hit every disc imaginable. Has been purchased in many forms to test that version of tech at the time.
I love the matrix series and picking up the 4K in steelbook for 30 on the deal of the day what a steal.
So happy with this purchase.
Whether your like the rest of us and have seen this your whole life, or this is the next generation who has never asked the question WHAT IS THE MATRIX???
By all means pick this up.

Wanted to get this new 4K set for a while to replace my older BLURAY movies after reading how this was re-mastered and they re-mastered the soundtracks to Dolby Atmos, so now after watching on my Atmos 4K system, this new set is definitely worth getting if you are a Matrix fan. Video quality is noticeably better along with the HDR and sharpness bump, and the soundtracks pop with the Atmos surround-well done!

I hadn't watched the Matrix trilogy for quite sometime. I only have my original DVD versions. So I saw that the trilogy had been released in 4K and a steel book (love the steel books). So I read quite a few reviews online about the 4K version. Never to see if it was worth buying, some movies just don't do well on the release of better formatting. But they're was a common among all the reviews, and that was this 4K version was the one to have and that if you were in the Matrix, this is what it would look like. Didn't disappoint!
I've only had a chance to watch the first of the 3 but, WOW.
Details in the shadows and background were cleaner, more defined and recognizable.
Audio was better than I remember.

4K Trilogy for $29.99 is a steal

I really enjoy the Matrix films and realized recently that I did not have any of the movies...I wanted the 4k version but they are $24.99 regularly priced each but when I saw this for $29.99 I had to get it. I'm actually glad that they only included the 4k disc and digital copy. I actually dont like having 4k, Bluray, and DVD in a combo set...which results in a higher price. For me, that is unnecessary as all of my tvs have access to the digital copies and I dont watch DVDs anymore. Anyway, for $29.99 this set works for me.

Great colors compared to BluRay

The color cast of the 4K Matrix films are more in line with how I remember this in the theater all of those years ago. There is still a greenish look to scenes inside the Matrix, but it isn't as overpowering as it is in the BluRay version of the film.
I have an LG OLED B7 and I find the HDR crushes the blacks somewhat. The bluray did not have black crush. This may be because I can't really calibrate my HDR on the OLED like I have calibrated the regular HD picture.

Who doesn't love The Matrix? If you don't, we can't be friends. I already had the first on 4k but I wanted the whole trilogy and I really dig the steelbook with the cat. As much the the sequels lacked in storytelling, they made up for in awesome action scenes. The disappearing brothers are really freaking cool to see in 4k.

We just saw the 20 year anniversary of this movie in Dolby Cinema & it was mindblowing. I had to purchase the 4K digital version to enjoy it on my home theater system as well. The crispness of the newest technology makes these movies pop even more than the originals. This is a must buy for the collection.

The first movie was great movie. An instant pop culture classic ahead of its time and I would have been a great stand alone film. The 2 follow ups add to the story and ultimately tie the whole thing together but can be tiresome to watch. Some seemingly endless fight scenes, but overall still good

Read a lot of reviews on this and the 1st movie being the best seen in 4k and boy they weren't wrong about that. Looks and sounds absolutely amazing with dolby atomos support and higher res picture quality. This is a must buy if you're a Matrix fan and plus Matrix 4 is on the horizon now.

I'm a sucker for a good steelbook, and not having the Matrix trilogy in 4K made this a no-brainer. It's a great package. I'll still hold onto my Blu-ray boxed set because that includes the Animatrix, but if you don't have these films in 4K yet, this is a really great set.

Been waiting to get the 4k discs. Great steelbooks. Only the 4k blu rays are included, but if you do not have a 4k player, you can redeem the codes and stream.

Decided I wanted to watch The original Matrix one day on my 4K TV. Sure enough Best Buy had the whole trilogy on sale and picked it up. It looks and sound better than the original in my opinion, but still I recommend picking it up when it goes on sale.

This set delivers the classic trilogy now on 4K, and there's even an option for dolby atmos audio track (I couldn't hear much of a difference though).
Nice steel book case, but doesn't include any printed booklet, it's just the case with the 3 movies.

Awesome 4K transfers of these classic sci-fi classics. The picture on all of these films is razor sharp and detail is insane! The Dolby Atmos mixes are really packing a punch as well! Definitely a huge upgrade from the blu Ray discs here Matrix fans!

Was going to get the individual 4K steelbooks but felt they were too expensive. This trilogy steel is more cost effective because they left out the regular blurays, which I already own, so that and having a cat on the cover made this a must have.

Matrix trilogy has always been a favorite, these 4k versions pushes the immersiveness to the next level. The steelbook is nice but there could have been upgraded bluray versions added for the the purchase price of this trilogy.

The Matrix Trilogy in 4K housed in a collectible steel case. Awesome films, great conversion to 4k and really nice case. Got a heck of a deal on it during labor day weekend. Has digital code too but no regular blue rays.

This is just the movies in their 4K transfer. No additional disks with special features. The transfers are incredible. They're also some of the few disks that include Dolby Vision, if your 4K player allows for it.
The steelbook has the two later moves stacked on top of each other. Be sure to check that the steelbook isn't bent when you buy it, as the spacing between the disks could easily allow for the top one to scratch.
