I had no idea what this movie was about. I was pleasantly surprised! This is a great movie for the family. There are many very intense moments and some graphic valiant scenes. Parents should watch with their kids that are under 13. I reserve the right to always be unanimous in my own opinion.

This was better than I thought it was going to be. Not having read the novel, I wasn't sure what it was about. Which I think in this case was a good thing. The movie moved along nicely, and the pace kept interest. Disappointed in the ending, until I learned that it will be a trilogy. Nice story.

Husband and I watch together and we like it. At first very confusing but then, its get better. Suspends and thriller, a young boy wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization.

I really enjoyed this movie when it was first released on regular Blu-ray so I had to own in on 4K UHD as well. The transfer is awesome, and anyone with a 4K tv should notice the improvement right away. Really enjoy the movie, and the whole series.

I originally dismissed this movie as just another young team fantasy flick like the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter stuff. It is much much better than those franchises. Best thing is the mystery of why they're in the Glade. A very nice minimalist cover on a nice steelbook.

Wasn't expecting the maze runner to be as good as it is. I was expecting it to be just OK and it ended up being so much better. My wife seen it months before and she wanted to see the scorch trails but I wanted to see the maze runner so we bought both. Scorch Trials is even better

Like most of the teen sci-fi movies, most are reminiscent of stories long before. This does not keep them from being entertaining, just not surprising. The new generation may find it different (4 instead of 3 stars for simply entertaining). Hunger Games-esque with less production.

Maze Runner reminded me of a book I read a very long time ago, it explores ideas of conformity and herd mentality. It takes the premise that the government actively works to program us to behave in a certain way and explores it in a way that even the younger generation can relate too.

It has an interesting storyline to get you hooked on another Trilogy Series. It is fun to watch knowing this is the beginning & you may decide now, if you are onboard for more. Maze Runner IS what that says it is with group support. Watch it & you will understand. A fun afternoon movie.

Enjoyable entry in the expanding teen dystopian sci-fi film category. I read the series first, liked it even though it can get oppressive in the escalating travails facing our heroes, and I like the decisions made in trimming the book for translation to this first movie installment.

My whole family enjoyed this movie. There was enough action to keep everyone entertained and it had a good story line. We can't wait to see the sequel. All of the the young actors have good talent. There are some frightening scenes for those under 12, but overall a great flick!

The movie is quite good, better than Divergent and Mortal Instruments, but not as good as Harry Potter, nonetheless a YA adaptation that is for anyone who loves a good mystery action film. The picture and sound are terrific along with a ton of great extras to satisfy everyome.

I saw the movie in the theater and thought enough of it to buy the dvd. I enjoyed the dve as much as I enjoyed the movie version. This is not a boring movie. Throwing the girl into the picture really sent the movie into a different direction. Now I can't wait for the sequel.

I didn't read the book so it was as good as could be expected from a post-apocalyptic young adult film. Similar to hunger games where they're all teenagers fighting to stay alive, just not by killing each other. Give it a shot, its mindless entertainment for a couple hours.

The Maze Runner is full of action and definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to see the 2nd film in this series as the first one is wonderful. If you are a fan of The Divergent series or even The Hunger Games then I think this movie is for you.

I purchased the Maze Runner on advice from a friend and it was the best movie advice ever. The Maze Runner draws you in from the Glade and you can't wait to see how it ends. It has great action and a well written story. Can't wait to watch the Scorch Trials.

I know there are many people who have read the books; however, I am not that guy...lol! Didn't really know what to expect upon watching it, but I can say that I was more than thoroughly surprised by it. It is an enjoyable movie and a recommended watch.

I loved it! There were a few things that I didn't care for, but only because they didn't follow the book closely enough. But the Maze, Grievers, and characters were all excellent. The acting was great, and I know this is going to be a much-watched movie in my house!

You will become absorbed in the character's quest to solve the riddle of how they came to be there and, most of all, how they can escape to discover exactly what is going on in their world. Terrific special effects that allow the plot to move forward.

With young adult novels being adapted to the big screen lately it seems that holly wood lost its touch and only go's for cash grabs from teens. But this movie blew my expectations because here they actually try to make a movie for everyone to enjoy.
