Although this film looks and feels quite dated (it's from the '70s), it's still a lot of fun to sit through today.
If you know who Richard Burton is, you know the actor was quite acclaimed as being one of the all-time greatest thespians. One could argue the material here is a little beneath him, but that doesn't stop Burton from sinking his teeth into the role. He plays a tormented man who claims to have telekinetic powers that can cause disasters. Once the movie hooks you in, it doesn't let go, and it has one hell of an ending.

I saw this movie a few years ago on cable and loved it. This is a superb drama. I had to have it on Blu Ray. The acting is marvelous, Richard Burton and Lee Remick reminds one of the greats that have gone on. The movie creates a mood of mystery and suspense, then to terror, and builds to an explosive climax. For those who like this type of flick, this would make a great addition to one's collection. Great movie 5 Stars!

Movie is seems pretty typical for its time Ii.e. supernatural, disaster), but has some interesting differences and little more thoughtful. Doesn't seem as "overdone" as typical 70's horror and Burton's character probably very nihilistic for the time.

Good movie with scary music. Detective story meets horror.
